For those having issues with popped collars

As we all know, the popped collar is a big part of having a good impression of The Shape. Without the flared popped collar, something just doesn’t look quite right. But naturally, this can be pretty hard to achive with most coveralls. A lot of the time if you pop the collar it will come down when you move your head, or it will come in too close to the mask and look silly like H4. However there us a solution to this anyone can do and it only takes around half an hour. Basically, get your coveralls, and DRENCH your collar in starch spray. Really get it soaking wet with it so you have time to play about with it. Then while the collar is still wet you put it on quickly, and then of course zip of the coveralls, and then you can pop the dollar and manually flare it out by holding it with your hands. Do this for around half an hour, staying somewhat still while doing it so it doesn’t move about too much, and then by the end of the hald hour you will have a beautifully flared collar that will stay up at all times and wont come down at all if you used enough spray. Hope this is helpful for some as i know this is a thing many people struggle with.

Will take a lot less time if you have someone to help out using a hair dryer on the collar while you hold it

Interesting. How does the finish look though?

I’ve been starch-spraying my Myers collars for about a decade: works like a charm and looks great.
