as we all know there’s a new Halloween Movie on his way. And we know that John Carpenter has something to do with it. So i guess we could be sure that it’s all going in the right position.
My hopes are on the upcoming Michael Myers role. As the most of you here, i wish that this figure will go back to the classic first movie.
Let Michael be the Shape again…like a ghost in the shadows who first stalks people before he kills them. In my opinion Michael should have the same size / built like Nick Castle had in the first one. Around 5’10, average size…makes him more creepy than a Giant around 6’9" (but i liked Tyler Mane’s Performance).
I really liked Chris Durand in H20…had the look right. I wish they could bring him back one more time …but i think that is not gonna happen.
So my question is: Are we gonna getting back an old-school Myers Character? What are your wishes for the role of Michael Myers? Maybe you could be bring up some name of an actor or stuntman that can be perfect to play the new Myers ?
You know, I’m really interested to see what Carpenter can do with this movie. I’m really glad, and rather surprised, that he’s involved, but it’s just great to know the man that started it all with the amazing halloween from 1978 is back again. I hope they go back to the style of the original, where it’s all about suspense and less about gore. I agree, I’d like to see a more slim Michael Myers like Nick castle return. I mean sure, being like 7 feet tall is pretty frightening, but when Michaels more slim and shorter than that, it makes him more creepy, because it makes him seem more like a normal man behind a mask, even though he obviously isn’t.
Yeah, I agree. But if they went that route, you have to wonder, when does the movie take place in terms of the other films? If it’s a sequel to the original it would kind of be a bit off that he’d have the same mask again, but maybe it’s a reboot, in which case it could work I guess.
Hehe…if you look like castle was in the movie. Than why not
But i hope they really got a guy that can do it like the Shape did it back in 1978.
Why can’t they go one more time with Chris Durand ? Or Brad Loree.
I mean both did a well done Job and they both had that castle style. I liked Chris Durand’s performence. He reminds me still at the original version of myers the most.
Oh yeah, definitely, I agree with that 100 percent. But like said earlier, I hope they ho back to the style of the original Halloween where you have all the great lighting, and suspense, not gore. To me that’s what made Halloween work so well, it didn’t need gore to be scary, just suspense, creepy soundtrack, great lighting, great characters you actually care about, and a great killer stalking them all ha ha
Maybe John Carpenter will say something about the upcoming movie in November. Over here in Germany in early November the Weekends Of Horror take place. It’s the largest Horrormeeting in europe with Stars. And Carpenter himself will be here. Also Dick Warlock by the way

cool thing is that John Carpenter will give a live concert with all of his movie themes. I only checked out the videos on youtube when he performed in the states. And now John will Come to germany for the first time ever and wow… we getting the full program. Concert, q&a session, photo session and so on. And Dick Warlock too. I guess i will dress up as Myers this Day
but yeah, hopefully he will toll us fans something about the newest halloween movie

But i have trust in Carpenter 'cause i believe he will keep the upcoming movie old-school like. He knows what we Fans want i guess. Why should he be on Set ? Of course money is a factor BUT i think that he wants to give us fans a halloween movie that will keep up to the original. I mean Carpenter is a filmmaker from the old guys. When you watch all the documenterys about halloween or horror where he tells storys, u can say that he loves the way horrormovies bases on suspense.
I bet that we will become a Halloween Movie that we have all been waiting for. Also i like the fact that blumhouse is involved, cause most of their movies has that suspense factor. So i think we going in the right direction here
And so i guess that whoever will play Michael Myers will wear a kirk looking mask, will have the size castle had back then and that the Shape will once again stalking in haddonfield.
If i would know that i would play the role as Myers i think that this would be the jackpot. I mean look at our community and so on. We still loving the Men who portrayed this iconic horror figure after all these years. Myers is maybe bigger than the movie itself. So whoever will get the famous role of our favorite series Killer is a Legend by now !
With that said, i still hopes Chris Durand will put on the mask one more time
…but i think that is not gonna happen.
