Hey guys Im getting some new Red Kap Coveralls the ones I had last got torn in the sleeve and started to fall apart. Anyway just bought these Monday. Tell me what you think of these bad boys
VERY VERY H2, BECAUSE OF THE COLLAR BEING SHORT, BUT I LIKE THEM, I HAD A PAIR BUT SOLD EM.
Yea the red kaps bring out my Sam Hain myers mask which makes it awesome. Plus when they come in its time to go to work on the weathering. Quick question Im taking out my 22 Just want to know where the shots were all placed again to make sure.
Red Kaps are nice…I just received mine in the mail today. Charcoal Red Kap coveralls, the only downside was that its a bit too tight for me…so I had to order another one, one size up. I can honestly say, that the charcoal color is dead on H1, and it changes colors in different lights. Navy blue is nice too, I have a pair by big mac but the color is not screen accurate if your going for h1 look.
Sizing is the only thing I dont like about the red kaps in charcoal, the inseems are shorter compared to the big macs unless you get one with a 32" inseem, which doesnt come in that size unless you have a chest size over 40. The people i spoke to over the phone said that everything with the red kaps tends to run on the smaller size, so its better to order one size up.
By the way, those are some nice coveralls…looks like you got them for a good price. H2 look IMO
I got my new Red Caps as well. Spruce green pulls off a nice H1.
What color red knapps would you all recommend?
I need to snag an H1 pair quick for the big night but I’m unsure…
navy blue, spruce green, or charcoal?
IMO, charcoal is the next best thing to olivewood. Spruce green is great too and pulls off a very nice h1 look, but the thing I dont like about it is that in certain lights it looks a little too green for my taste…and owning the h1 blu ray version of the movie…i have literally watched it a million time over and over…pausing/slowing every screen cap i can and I dont see much if any green. Go with charcoal. The next choice after that would be spruce green/navy/etc. http://www.automotiveworkwear.com
$22 for the coveralls +shipping.
I COULD NOT AGREE WITH YOU MORE MAN. 100% DEAD ON WITH THAT STATEMENT.
THE COVERALLS IMO ARE A DARK CHARCOAL NAVY COLOR.
LOOK @ THESE TWO SHOTS. SPEAKS FOR THEMSELVES. ALL I SEE IS GREY & BLUE. THESE ARE BEHIND THE SCENES SHOTS.
THESE ARE MY CHARCOAL BIG MACS
mine are charcoal too…and like the post above mentions, they do seem to change color under certain lighting…from Navy to Greenish …
charcoals a great color to try and achieve the Halloween look.
I dyed my charcoal Big Macs with some Dark Green Rit Dye. Here’s the thread to show how I did it if anyones interested.

Thanks for your help gents ,
I guess charcoal is the way to go.
One more question guys…
I’m afraid of ordering a pair of red knapps and them being too small.
I have a 46in chest… so should I get a 48 or 50?

go with a 48 and if your taller than 5’11…go for a 32" inseem (Long). Im around 5’10, when I got mine the regular 30" inseem seemed like it was meant for people under 5’7. These coveralls do run a little on the smaller size.
heres my pair that are charcoal
Thanks for the help
Very much appreciated.
Hey Zack, I cant tell you exactly where to put the bullet holes, but it would be safe to say that all six are going to be in the chest area. And you may want to think about using something bigger than a .22 cal. You probably wont even see those holes. Your best bet is to get a good sized bolt (minimun 3/8" dia. bolt ). Dr. Loomis used a large caliber handgun. Hold bolt with pliers, heat up the flat threaded end and put against the fabric/cloth. Just make sure to put a piece of wood between the front and back because you dont want the heated bolt to go through both sides of the coveralls. Some people will use a dremel also.
