weill i went through with my original plan and converted my 99 Shatner last saturday. it had grayish blond hair which i sprayed brown and is soft and managable. the eye cuts were more challenging than i anticipated and have a more of a worn look but over all im very pleased with how it turned out. its very snug so i cut the slit another 1/2" and that helped abit so i managed afew costume pics as well. let me know how you think it turned out.
and i recieved my Mutant from Justin Monday and its amazing. thought i would post it here to let everyone know if your thinking about getting one jump on it. Justin told me i caught him just in time as he is on his last mold and is fixing to retire him. so on with the pics
Is this your first conversion? If it is you did a VERY nice job. You especially did a nice job with your eye cuts. The distance from the top of the eye cuts to the eyebrows is very accurate. Your attention to that important detail shows me you have a future in conversions bro. Keep up the good work.
thanks alot Myersh20, Florian, and Mike! glad you like the cuts Mike. this is actually the 4th mask ive cut eyes on. the first 2 were JITB blanks i did back in 08 and had screwed up sculpted eyes to start with and they didnt turn out so great. the 3rd was a Hiro blank which had decent sculpted eyes so it was much easier. but this is the first mask ive converted from a Kirk and it was abit challenging so i really appreciate your comment bud. however the only future i will have in conversions is what i do for myself. thanks again fellas and have a good night
