I pride myself on abusing the search option on this site and I try not to post topics that have been previously posted.With that said,from the The Shape of Fear’s recent pick-up( ),I got suddenly interested in the Crofader H4.I need ANY info that can help.I remember the release of this mask very well but as a strict H1/H2 guy,I never paid much attention.Lately I have become interested in the H6 mask and now I am digging the H4 a bit more So,I am a newbie in the masks from H4 and on,as far as accuracy.
I am mainly curious on how the mask looks worn by different people versus the unworn mask.The unworn looks a bit different and not screen-accurate to me at a first glance.I know it is cast directly from Paul’s Screen-used so I figure it is dead-on.I am guessing it is all in how it contorts from a persons facial features?
Another thing I noticed with the search feature info was the mentioning of QOTS,as well as HSS.What roles were played by said individuals in the process of this mask?I would assume the OOTS reference meant Scott did hairing on some?Thing is,I thought I read something posted by Scott about finishing the whole mask,paint and all.I could be wrong
Anyway,looking for the most important info.Would also love to know cost and availability.I would appreciate responses here,as well as pictures of worn and unworn Crofader’s.
The HSS H4 was sculpted by Sam out here in California with Paul’s screen used mask sitting right next to him. The SPH4 is a direct recast of Paul’s mask. Both are great options.
Well, while we’re on topic and there’s a thread about it…what exactly does Crofader mean? What’s the difference between a Crofader and a regular H4 mask?
Crofader is a member of the board who owns the screenused H4 Mask. the crofader edition mask is based off what the mask’s condition looks like now, with the chipping paint and lack of neck extention.
here is mine brother sadly i cant not give you worn pics due to bigheaditis. LOL. that hair on mine was white then sprayed brown and black. get one, you will not be disappointed.
Sam flew out and sculpted the hss h4 while staying at my house using Paul’s mask as reference. I just hung out and helped Sam wherever I could. Mainly being his helper for the week and keeping the beer stocked…etc…lol. If my name is mentioned on any of those masks it’s because I did the hair on only a handful of them but nothing else.
Grab one up Randy! You won’t be disappointed! For accuracy go for Sam or the SPH4. The Kirks that are made to look like H4 are nice, but ya cant beat these options as they were derived from the real deal.
