Guessing on what the 2020 mask will look like

Same or melted and charcoal with almost no hair if any? Maybe a whole new mask?

Yeah, I’m very curious what they do as well. I’m tempted to get the current battle damaged mask again but not sure if the new mask will even look like that

Man, that mask has been through a lot.

I hope it has the scar and its maybe just slightly charred, preferably on one side of the mask only. Maybe the side with the cut so you can see some burned skin

He could get a new mask, then they have an excuse to use the clean H40 that never made it to film

Thats what im thinking, at this point they should just use a clean mask, who knows what the plot will be or if it will directly follow the end of h18. Maybe he gets it from a vintage mask store or something but i feel at this point going forward with the same battle damaged mask from 1978 would be a suspension of disbelief, as it would have deteriorated by now, even more after the events of h18. Start fresh with a clean mask, and dont hurt the shape too much since he already lost some of his fingers. Maybe make it a trilogy; h78, h18 and i dont know the exact release date for the new one but say h2021?

I can see them using the 18 mask again, but damaged…but I would very much prefer if they just let him steal a new clean mask. Go back to the basics, you know? It’d be nice to have a new clean mask added to the line up. If you really think about it, the last clean mask we got in a film was the Resurrection mask.

That would be sweet. This is entirely specualtion but its my belief the film will take place on halloween once again, be it a year later or several years later. So if it happens on halloween night its more plausible he gets his hands on another mask to replace the old one ( be it a new mask that slightly ressembles the old one or a clean version of the old mask) as one way or another if the old one deteriorates, the shape will get a new mask, thats his m.o. since day one, he wears masks when he kills. Masks and halloween are a part of his obsession.

Most positive it would be the same in H18, maybe a little more weathered.

I hope he kills a trick or treating mask collector and picks up a sweet NAG 75k or something.

All depends for me when the movie picks up… same night of course I want the same mask… also how long was he in the basement is a big question how damaged he was. Seems as soon as the girls left he found a way to dip so mask may bot have suffers much. But has to have the cut and maybe bit darker on one side agreed. The only issue I’m having with a new mask is as big if a deal Michael seemed to be I would think that mask would been banned around haddonfield… who knows maybe he breaks in the hardware store and finds a box of them repo from the shelf… But i do feel any change of the mask needs to be part of the plot itself not just given to him. The mask alone is a story line. And I did hear a rumor this time they are filming back to back 2020 and 2022? I loved the h40 wouldn’t mind seeing the whole movie the same with the scare on it then maybe change it up 3rd movie.

Battle damage mask with hair maybe charred on one side I’m guessing. A slightly more deformed h40 mask but only on one side. I think they might try to keep the image of the previous film but without going overboard.

I dont think the mask would be banned. Although i know sartain is not popular i really liked that twist for some reason, his obsession with the shape, laurie and even wearing the mask and trying to “become” the shape and feel what it is to kill isnt that far off from fans like us (not killing but the pretending aspect when we cospplay with the costume and knife) and our own obsession with the franchise and the character of michael myers.

But had they not killed sartain it would have been very plausible at the end when the house burns to have him come and help michael escape. Although this will not be possible now maybe sartain had an assistant who is equally obsessed and breaks michael free from the fire. Then maybe keeps him locked up somewhere in a warehouse he rents, where he has a collection of vintage “myers” masks (since he is obsessed with myers and the case) and unleashes him one year later on halloween night once more. That would also kinda keep up the whole “message” of obsessions with the shape and reflect the fans as well. We want a new halloween movie, we want more blood, we want the shape to be unleashed once more too. Although kinda corny if done well it could work.

One thing i hate is when filmmakers or writers dont write these things ahead of time to make it more seemless if a sequel happens. Had they thought about it they wouldnt have killed sartain since he could have become a great addition to the franchise as a returning character, or have him have an assistant in the first one in one scene at the hospital or something to make it more plausible if said assistant were to appear in the sequel. When its added after the fact it never feels right, kinda like the son twist in scream 3, had they hinted at that in the first one (that billy and stu werent the only killers) it would have felt natural in scream 3 and more satisfying since those things were there since the beginning. Kinda like how they dropped the ball on last jedi, if youre gonna tackle a franchise as a writer and there is possibility of sequels make sure you do your homework and make sure you have an overarching plot that can carry through more movies if need be.

RZ had a clean mask at the beginning, I kind of wish thy ran with that look for the duration of the film. Instead of introducing it at the beginning have him steal it when he breaks out of smiths grove like in the original.

I actually liked the rot mask in the RZ movies. They were different and refreshing.

Honestly it’d be hilarious if Michael was driving the truck that picks them up at the end of H18 and the movie goes from there haha.

I think the mask would look something like this

I think there needs to be some hair on the mask still, but a burnt look like this would be cool too.

I don’t know I have nothing against Laurie returning, but I think she needs to die in the next one. The ending to H18 would have been more interesting if she died tbh. I also would have loved if Michael crashed that High School Dance as then it would have made sense why it was in the plot of the movie to begin with.

Totally agree regarding the high school dance scene. Useless other than to portray the teenage drama and get Laurie’s granddaughter to leave the school. It would have been nice to see her boyfriend get killed somehow. I envisioned this scene where Michael possibly hurts him to the degree where he is able to escape but only to slowly walk out into the crowd while the music is playing as people slowly notice what has happened to him. This would have been cool in my opinion but then there’s the question of how Laurie’s granddaughter leaves the school and is stalked by Michael. I’d assume in this situation seeing her love interest injured/killed would cause her to stay with the police instead of walking home with the friend.

this idea just reminds me of John Wick, I would like to see it happen though then Cameron dies in the crowd and they don’t notice until he’s in a puddle of blood, by that time, Myers is already stalking Allyson

They already established Michael is connected to the mask in some way…triggers him…so I doubt they will use a new mask

I like this idea as well, however I like to also think of the approach that Michael is the source of evil and the mask acts as a vessel. It allows him to focus and unleash that evil. If they plan on making two more movies it will be interesting to see what they will do. I can see it surviving another movie but two? The fire could have potentially damaged it badly. I can’t see the same mask making it through three movies. It’s already decaying when it is introduced.
