H1 coveralls forgotten detail…

I’ve just noticed that we always focus on where the bullet holes should be placed etc. But I don’t think I have ever noticed or seen anyone replicate the coveralls where there is a stab mark in the centre stomach piece of the coveralls.

In H1, Michael was stabbed by Laurie during the closet scene in the stomach. Looking at behind the scenes photos of the 78 film, specifically for the closest scene, or after more like, you can actually see a stab mark in the coveralls with blood. Thinking about it now, I don’t even think H2 coveralls included this detail, nor have I ever seen this mentioned either. I have never thought about it before either myself until I noticed it in the BTS photos.

Please correct me if I’m wrong and this is a well known thing, but to my knowledge I just haven’t ever seen this replicated or heard anyone mention it at all!

Great attention to detail. I wonder if there are any scenes at the end of H1 that show the stab wound. Like when hes being shot… Interesting.

I don’t see it being a stab wound, I think it’s just some grease or oil stain on them, here’s another shot

then it’s also the same in this shot of Castle

I’ve never thought about this either, very interesting.

While Pilum may be right about it just being a grease stain, it nevertheless is still something which has been overlooked.
I’ve never seen any pair of rehauled H2 coveralls or even final sequence H1 coveralls that have a stab wound in them, nor is there a stab wound on screen in H2.
Along with H2, there is no stab wound in the flashback coveralls. This is definitely something we can all look into. While coveralls with a stomach stab wound may not be screen accurate, they certainly would be accurate to what took place in the movie.
Nice job pointing this out man.

I did first think it could be a grease stain as well, but it does look quite wet in the photos. Also, as those photos were taken after he’s been stabbed (as the closet door is already broken) it makes sense it would have been added to the coveralls, especially as it was on the same set of the film where he was stabbed, it makes sense the crew on the 78 set would have added the blood to that area of the coveralls.

In these bts photos I can’t really see any wet blood stains or grease stains. I think they probably added blood after Laurie stabs him.

Gonna go ahead and agree with u bro

Nice catch, finally something we can add in the H1 coveralls.

Well this is really interesting. Now I’m leaning more towards this argument. They may have actually added a stab wound. This opens a whole new look for H1 costumes now. Pretty cool stuff.

I took a screenshot of the scene where Michael stands up behind Laurie after she stabs him. I cranked up the exposure to make it more clearer to see. I definitely am convinced now that a blood stain is there in the exact same spot.

Good call on this. Definitely an area that I never see get any attention when putting together screen accurate coveralls.

Thanks! I was so excited to share this on the forums when I noticed!

I’m glad you brought this up, thank you! Countless times I looked at that damned blood stain and never crossed my mind that I haven’t seen anyone really add it to their coveralls!
