H1 mask -hair question

Hi everyone, ive been wanting to ask this questions for a while , so here it goes.

Those that have obtained an h1 mask, how do you position your hair? and what reference pics do you guys go with? Im asking because i kind of see a similarity in all, when either someone wears the mask or just has it as a display. However when looking the story of halloween, man that hairs is extremely poofy all the way around, while some just a couple of strands of hairs is sticking out. I am just curious to know

Thanks!

The hair was extremely poofy in the early stages.
This same hair du can be seen in the scene when he stabs Bob against the wall.

As production went along the hair started loosing strands due to abuse and the poofyness started to tone down which gave it a more matted look. This can be noticed in the closet and needle scene.

It really depends on which look you’re after, the poofy look or the matted look.
One thing you should keep in mind is the spikes/thorns that stick out from the sides. This can either make or break the look of the mask when it’s on display.
A good example of the mask showing it’s spikes from the film would be the hallway scene.

Make sure you poof up from the front and shoop it to the left. Imagine Captain kirk with a bad hairday.lol

kaizu, thank you very much for that useful information. I am trying to understand this, the scene where laurie is looking at myers from the second floor, is that considered the matted look as well? looks like it was flattened to be combed to the left side, like you stated. Then i noticed that in some pics there is a considerably long strand of hair that is sticking out.

also thank you kaizu. this really helped me out too.

god… i love that hallway look. :stuck_out_tongue:

Good picture references!

It does look matted in that scene. It could have been shot later :bulb:
I do know that the scene of Laurie’s room is a reshoot, but I’m not sure about the shape
