H2 was on and I caught two things that I’ve never caught before just 15 minutes in…
What’s with these eye cuts? This can’t be the same mask from H1.
Also Loomis says he shot him 6 times when he shot him 7. Did he miss one? lol.
Due to weather and age, there was a slit/tear in the eyecut. When worn and stretched by DWs head,it causes a fold over as in the screen cap you posted.

Does anyone have the accurate eye cuts on their H2 mask? I’ve never seen a replica with these either.
Jon Dano captured this quite well when wearing Matt’s converted DB2 by JC. JC adds the corrrect slits on his conversions when asked.
It really depends on the thinness of the latex and how your head stretches the mask 
Kaizu is absolutely right! As for the shape of the cuts… a great set of H2 cuts must also be a great set of H1 cuts

that is where the tear is… on my conversions i usually give the eye that look as if its cut and just not stretched so bad. it gives the right look i believe…

This was also a “reshoot” at the end of filming, after Carpenter got his hands the film. So this very well could have been one of the the very last times the Hero was infront of 35 mm cameras. So there could have been even extra dirt, grime and misuse by this point, making that slit even more pronounced.
That mask went through hell and back. Lol
I feel the H2 cuts look smaller than the H1 cuts because of the way the mask is stretched, also since the mask went through hell since the filming of H1, there is a tear there.
