Hey guys obviously we know what you guys think of the film by now.I loved the film Rob used to give it the grainy look. Anyways lets all discuss your favorite bonus scenes/bloopers or whatever you can think of.
In the deleted scenes I really like the ones of Michael hanging Laurie I thought it was pretty interesting, looked very real and I don’t see that in a lot of movies. Its the monster takes one pull and boom they are hung or whatever. Also the bigfoot one made me laugh. The Rabbit In Red alternate scenes were different to but I still prefer the movie shots they used with the mask for those scenes. Also liked how it showed Michael kill the beer guy like in the trailer, and he was supposedly calling 911 but it was Laurie then Michael grabs her and slits her throat it was very cool to me.There were a couple here and there to that were good to but I don’t want to say all of them.
The bloopers were funny liked how Tyler and Malcom were always fooling around on the last scene. Also the one with Michael killing buddy and gives the thumbs up was good.
Also if you watch the make up test footage you can see those shots of Michael that were in the trailer pretty neat stuff.
I think there are some interesting deleted scenes. The hanging scene in particular stands out to me.
I’m rarely moved emotionally by horror movies(although I love them of course), but
I found that scene unsettling. I also liked the cemetery scene and the alternate stripper kill. It’s a frightening image of Michael coming
up behind her as she flees in terror, knowing he’s about to do something awful.
I enjoyed watching the makeup tests. The one of Michael is really cool. I kept thinking, “Man that mask is really something.”
They did an amazing job on his wardrobe. Sherri’s costume was lovely. It flowed with much drama. Very cool stuff.
The music videos are pretty fun. I think they’re all great but my favorite is “Honky Tonk Halloween.”
Overall, I really love this movie and the features are good. I have one minor gripe though. I wish we would have gotten an extensive
documentary on the making of the movie, much like TDR and Halloween.
I liked the hanging scene the most and the “wenched back” was a much better replacement scene to the necrophilia toned conversation used in both cuts of the movie leading up to the coroner vehicle crash.
I’m going to use this deleted scene in my edit as a replacement as I thought the original scene was one of the low points in the movie. It was a shining example of bad taste and poor writing.
