This here is a link of my original Tots H2 mask I purchased when it came out that I have now converted into an H1, for some time I left it sitting picking up trying to do the project then when I started it got held up this was over the process of over a year I worked on it for a while and didnt like the turnout so it laid in the wisconsin garage for a summer and winter. I didnt like the shape of the eyes. Nor the length of the hair. Or the color. These were all things that made me pick this project up late july of this year. Finally finishing after working on it for about a week during my free time. I made eye cuts, a beautiful neck line cut. Hair trim and slight rework, all the hair is original. I decided if the mask is going to be re painted it was going to be done the original way that the crew had done it for the original Hero in 1978. Black paint was first light sprayed over that awful camel brown hair, then brown which turned out for a beautiful blend. The mask was sprayed with just a regular white. Now when I looked it, it started to form but things were missing like the original eyebrown and sideburn glue lines, these were added then tiediously handled for weathering effect. The weathering on the face of the mask was not used with acrylic paint. I had mixed a good amount of light dirt with water and brushed on numerous times in areas the mask needed it done. It really brought out the effects of the sculpt. I started the wear away the paint from the neck area, and it really all came together beautifully. I have a smaller head so I dont enjoy it that much. I see they have come out with a new version of this mask in a smaller head size me being a 22 that would be nice. Anyway I shared a link to the video of my finished mask.
