I could not tell ya for sure but i saw the same one i have stamped 1967 on the back with like 5 days left and it was 150.00
IDK
There are so many out there and they are all stamped 1967, You might be able to find an original 1967 at the HMA, it’s not going to be cheap though, they can fetch crazy prices.
The DP skulls have been around for years… and they’re all stamped w/ a '67 or '76. Or both… many variations. The 90s/2000 versions were made in latex. You want to find a 70s or 80s vinyl skull. There are many sizes too, depending on the mold used. I prefer the vinyl skulls with the bigger jaw, as they are what you see in HIII.
A real vintage vinyl skull in good to great condition can go from $150-$350. The vinyl vermillion skulls go from $350-$500 or more, as they’re the rarest (especially w/ the smaller eye holes).
Here’s my trio (glow skull, Vermillion, and H3 skull) - All in thick vinyl. These are not for sale.

Hey Chad do some have texture & some not? The one on the left looks like it could have some texture & the one on the right looks smooth… or is it just the way it’s painted? Those look really good!
Hey Chad, is that the Vermillion you bought from Dave? It looks mint!
Yeah I bought it from Dave at the HMA. I had been looking for one for probably 4 years w/ the small eye holes and never had any luck. Dave just happened to post an auction on eBay and I saw this mask hiding in the background… so I sent him an offer. I probably overpaid for this one, but I feel it was worth it! I’m really curious to know if all the other Verm’s out there have an orange color base inside, it’s very unique.
They all have the same texture. But I guess you could say some are from better molds than others, like many other masks out there. I think you may be seeing an illusion on my glowskull from the glo-paint that DP used. It gives it a speckled like appearance. Both are mint. The vermillion and the H3 skull have a slightly glossier finish though.
The Vermillion Skull that I had has/had exact same orange-y/natural color too.
Thx for posting the pic Billy. Yours looks fleshy but it could be the flashy (lol bad humor there). Any other pics w/out flash?
The base latex on mine looks bright Halloween orange… threw me off b/c I figured they’d just use black or red vinyl as a base.
This is the mask i have my eyes on…this guy told me to make the first move on price, just curious if ya’ll could shed some light on this particular mask…
Thanks guys!!!

Well it looks to be a vinyl mask from the 80s most likely… but it’s not in the greatest shape and looks to have yellowed a bit and has saggy eyes.
The seller says thick latex in his description and it doesn’t look like a 90s version b/c those were thin. It’s really tough to tell though, but this is the smaller version (smaller jaw).
Ask him to take some pics of the inside if he can. It should be a black or brown color.
Good luck tjohnson and Good Lordy Chad! Those are beautiful man!

Thank ya sir!
And hey, TJohnson… if you end up buying it and want it repainted to look like one of mine I can do it.
I may even be able to reshape the eyes, just let me know and I can shoot ya a price.
I had quite a few of these ones that I repainted, How much does the guy want? It looks like the 1992 version. I paid $20 then I repainted it. Then I got the 3 they had left and now I had none.
Well the guy claims that its an authentic 1967 skull mask and he wants $149 is his lowest offer. I asked how he knew for sure that it was from 1967 and he simply said the stamp on the back. So im thinking this guy doesnt know too awful much abt this mask. Oh well i think i’m gonna pass.
