H4 school mask...Alan B. McElroy has spoken

There were 3 Ben Tramer masks used/made for Halloween II… One was destroyed. All 3 went to the set with Kirk eyes…not widened like Myers.

When they needed masks for Halloween 4, they contacted Don Post about masking the masks. Don told them that he didn’t have the time to make them due to the Halloween manufacturing season and the extremely short notice. The producers, probably Akkad, had 2 Tramer masks from Halloween II…one with Kirk eyes, one with the eyes cut out. Ken Horne re-casted them and made molds off them. All of this was mostly written in Gorezone.

When did 2 become 3??

Billy did you watch the new documentary?
Ken Horne states Don Post sent him 6 masks and he had to convert them to Myers.
Go watch it.

Seen it. Read the Gorezone from 1988.

Rob Tharp said he made 2 or 3 Tramers…but couldn’t remember.

Billy you’re probably talking about this article

He doesn’t mention in this article but in the vid I linked clearly states they’re from Don Post.

I never undertsand why people say its a tramer to this day when the crew say it was a pink mask.
Pink=Fleshtones.

Watch the scene in Halloween II when they first see Tramer walking towards them…you will see Kirk eyes.

Don states he never had time to make them.

I find that really hard to believe especially when a lot of the features don’t match Malones sculpt.
Not gonna get into a 6 page debate over the same thing like last time so believe what you want.lol
Not calling anyone a liar. Things just don’t add up.

Yeah, I know the mask in H1 and H2 is the same mask and that it was a modified Kirk mask. How many other masks were made for H1 and H2? Did they have other modified Kirk masks for the original Halloween? And what about H2? And is the Ben Tramer mask also a modified Kirk mask or did someone create it to look like Kirk? I always thought it was strange that the Ben Tramer mask and the one in the school scene in H4 had blond/white hair and wondered if there was a connection. Was the reason the Tramer mask had white hair just to let the audience know that he wasn’t actually Michael Myers? I have so many questions about these masks! :stuck_out_tongue:

This discussion between you guys is very interesting and entertaining. Your passion for the series and its masks glows white hot.

I remember watching that H4 school scene in my early teens and thinking…who’s the guy in the fake Myers mask? And why is he picking on Doc Loomis? To this day, I just laugh and shake my head. Still a decent movie though.

It’s interesting how uninformed the filmmakers in these sequels have been over the years when it comes to basic characteristics and look of The Shape. That’s why I never liked any of the sequels after Halloween II. That film wasn’t as good as the original but at the very least the mask was the same, regardless of how it fit on Warlock’s head. I feel we’ve finally come full circle with this new film. Christopher Nelson really seems to understand the look and feel of the OG Shape. That alone has given me hope.

I wonder how many backups were made for H2 and how many are still out there?
