Since TOTS does different versions of masks (H2 Hospital & Elrod & Boogeyman, H20 KNB and Winston, H40 Regular & Torn) do you think we will ever see this version of the H4 mask produced? Could be called the H4 Kelly Meeker Scene Mask or H4 Shotgun Mask lol.
Or one with blonde
The hair looks like this pic of my 3 year old H2 taken a year ago
Wasn’t there a theory that this particular stunt mask was a leftover Kirk/Tramer from HII?
That’s one of the theories. I was thinking it was one similar to the blonde haired mask but actually painted or that very mask. If I ever meet George P. Wilbur I’m definitely asking him about that. Doubt he’ll recall anything but it’s worth a shot to solve the mystery of that mask.
I think that’s actually confirmed. We know they had one on set from H2, we also know that they filmed the first scenes with it (schoolhouse) before making the rest and modifying them. This is the only mask with pure Kirk features that we see during the film, all the others match the distorted mold.

Well considering Zephro definitely reads everything we post on here, you just gave him even more ideas, so yes, I bet we see multiple variations in coming years.
Let it be known I am not opposed to it either. I like different variations. That’s what this hobby is grounded in, the different takes and variations on all the different looks of the Michael Myers mask. With TOTS, we are fortunate to be able to get these variations at affordable prices, then mod as need be.
I love a good indy artist piece too, that’s what this whole community started on. But dropping hundreds and thousands, often is not in the budget for a lot of folks. Getting these at affordable prices, then modding, is a nice alternative and I welcome it. Before TOTS, it was only a dream that we could be so lucky to get such affordable, yet accurate masks. Old Blue Lips just wasn’t cutting it anymore lol.
Sometimes I just like to really take a step back, take a breather, and appreciate what we have these days. It wasn’t long ago that the mass production scene of Halloween masks was about as god awful as it gets, and 60 dollars got you literal junk that fell apart in your hands if you weren’t careful, hair came out in massive gobs, and looked absolutely atrocious.
When we get upset with Zephro and TOTS, it’s really lame that we stoop so low to give him a hard time. Yeah I know, sometimes it’s justified, but it definitely sometimes comes off as spoiled brats too. If it wasn’t for him and Mabry going out on a limb with their vision for TOTS, we would still be looking at old blue lips staring back at us in stores every Halloween season.
So thanks Chris and Justin for taking that risk, and sorry for giving you a hard time. I appreciate what you have done.
Sorry, it’s such a nice hot summer night out here, I am in a damn good mood for whatever reason, and wanted to be that guy who talks positive tonight.
I wouldn’t mind variations if they either, a: used different sculpts (in the way the Elrod is different from the Hospital) or b: were better quality. Knocking up the quality just a smidge isn’t going to make me double dip. Either offer collector quality paint and hair or don’t. Don’t just offer “different” hair with the same massed produced quality. Don’t take this the wrong way, I don’t mind mass produced masks, but, for example, the minor alterations made to the Elrod isn’t enough to justify reselling it as a whole new mask. Just make a massed produced Psycho already. We already know they’re not afraid to offer collector prices if their Freddy gloves are anything to go by.
For me, as I’ve said this numerous times, it’s not the quality of the masks that put a bug up my butt about Chris, it’s his shady business tactics (silencing criticisms, sending out threatening emails to independent artists, etc) and the fact that he always seems to get a thread locked or conversations deleted before you can retort or produce the evidence. It’s slimy as Hell, and I don’t care one bit for it.
This. Thank you. Zephro not only gives me the skeeves online with his nonsense, I’ve bumped into him at a con and he gives me the skeeves just as well in person. Hard pass. I’ve seen enough screenshots, vids, etc. of his nonsense that seem to just…vanish here on the forum. I have some of it stored on my computer and I save more and more as I manage to run across it. He’s always got some gaslighting excuse too. Definitely not someone I wish to do business with anymore, even on the impersonal, mass-produced level.
Can’t argue with that man.
As for the retooled Elrod, I do look to see how the hair comes out on it, but no, not cause for a complete remarketing for the mask they have offered for a few years already. They could of just fixed the hair and it would of been fine. No need to change up the name and sell it as something else.
As for offering a collector quality line, YES. I definitely agree with that. There is a market for that, and I would like to see something like that down the line.
What I’d enjoy about it is that it would give collectors a chance to get masks that have long been put on Justin’s backburner. Masks like the Maniac and the Psycho, both of which I’d like to have in my collection again without having to shell out $500 for each on the after market.
I think in time tots will introduce a “collector series”, charge a little more say 100-130$ but have better quality latex, paintapps and hairing. There is definitely a market for that, keep the regular 60$ versions for the regular joes who dont care and introduce higher-end versions for those that do care and dont mind paying more for quality. Im guessing its just a matter of time, they now have the licenses and sooner or later hey would need something “new” to make more money. They already got the masks for each of the halloween movies, except for the rob zombie ones, once they do those there wont be much else to do for them (besides the new halloween movies coming out), its only logical to make the same mask for each movie but with the serious collector in mind. We will be happy and theyll be happy as theyll charge more for each mask. Keeping them around 100-150$ would be good for everybody.
I get the beef with Zephro. I personally have not had a bad interaction with him, but that’s just my experience. Like I said, I have seen several examples to the contrary. I support the company and will continue to do so, but I get why some won’t. I do.
With that said, I am all for a collectors line down the road.
I love the current mass produced product, because I love that there is affordable, much better quality product out there now, versus what I grew up with over the last almost 40 years.
It’s been a pet peeve of mine forever with the complete crap Halloween products put out over the years. TOTS came in and put that to rest. Is their mass produced product perfect? No. It’s 60 dollar masks. But the quality for 60 dollars with a TOTS mask, versus the quality of a 60 dollar illusive concepts blue lips, is night and damn day for me.
Anyway, I am all for a collector series line. I say bring it on, I would love some back catalog Mabry classics done in collector fashion.
Briefly touching on the Zephro thing, I have no issues with him myself. He’s done the Halloween community a big favor by helping to bring out some of the best mass produced masks when all we had was Don Post and Rubies giving us molded fecal matter. My only negative experience is I e-mailed once after waiting two weeks for a tracking number and the email did have a hint of exasperation but to be fair I’d get annoyed too after receiving so many of those. I also have seen some of what others refer to here on the forum. At the end of the day my products I pay for and receive are all that matters but come with my utmost gratitude to everyone at TOTS for making them.
Moving on, that would be awesome to see a Collector’s Series. Could be limited to like a couple of hundred masks, not thousands, and be given all the makings of an independent which have more detail put into them than the mass produced ones do. I’d definitely spend a bit more money for even higher quality for sure.
The Shotgun mask is basically the school mask(75 Kirk) painted up as a Myers but with the side burns still intact and the eyes not cut out.
I’m actually surprised no one has ever done this
If we are giving Zephro ideas I’m just going to throw this one out too… the Vincent Drug Store H4. With how well they nailed the H4 I’m sure they could knock this one out too. Just tool some eyes into the 4 master and switch to a strawberry blondeish hair.
Same sculpture could probably be used for the shotgun mask too.
Here are a few screencaps from the Blu-ray.
The second shot here is of the H4 hero sculpt, pre eye enlargement, not of the KM/School scene kirk. But the first is!
I can get some more shots of the correct one if need be.
