I got curious and in less than 24 hours I successfully “converted” these Earth Wheat Arctiv8’s (basically the only color left in my size):
Into these:
Plus they’re good to wear or display!

What paint did you use on this? Surprisingly effective.
You could also sand and scrape areas to weather.

Not paint, fellas. Leather dye for the uppers, and synthetic material dye for the soles.
Leather dye, huh? Neat trick! I’d be interested in seeing the longevity of the dye.
They turned out amazing bro, you changed the colour of the eylets and speedlacers too
Natural scuffing will occur with use, but that’s an easy fix. The leather dye applies just like liquid shoe polish. I’m more curious to see how the rubber soles will hold up with use.
Overall I’m glad I did it.
Dude can you offer me the details on what you used to dye this boots black?? I’ve been looking left and right for accuracy and so far yours are the most screen accurate dye for this boots, i’ve got this boots in earth wheat too. Really appreciate it if you could help a brother out!!

Uppers: Angelus brand leather dye and specially designed leather paint
