First things first, there are some AMAZING artist out there who continue to do outstanding work on the TOTS H40 rehauls/overhauls. I actually had an artist do one for me about a year ago and I love mine. I noticed one thing on certain rehauls and wanted to ask about it here. This is not me being critical, I honestly am just curious about something. I have noticed some of the rehauls add blood to the chin of the Myers mask. I have seen the movie multiple times and I am wondering where I missed it? What part of the movie shows the blood on his chin? As a matter of fact, I just watched it this morning again, and I paused it when Michael first gets the mask out of the car trunk and puts it on. There is no visible blood on this chin in that scene. So at what point does he get the blood on the chin? I am not talking about the bullet he took to the face at the end, that’s obvious. I am talking about the subtle blood spot that some of these overhauls have on them. Thanks again everyone in advance. Just something I have been curious about.
Hello, I have done many paint jobs on the H40, and added blood to the chin on many. Reason being that the main hero mask has blood on the chin. This would have occurred at some point during Michael’s slashing in 2018. Christopher Nelson (The man that created the 2018 mask) worked closely with Jim on set and would continue to make changes to the mask throughout filming, changing padding, Velcro, adding weathering to the mask. So the blood on the chin is what Chris added to the mask during mid filming. The mask looks very different from the boot scene to the wrap of filming.
