H5 Myers House vs. H6 Myers House

Poor Salt Lake City sure couldn’t get a break when it come to having a nice Myers house for either one of H5 or H6! And to think I thought Salt Lake City made a awesome believable Haddonfield. Atmosphere was pretty spot on almost more than Southern California. Anyway which of the 2 weird so called Myers houses win?

I’m gonna go h5 simply because that laundry chute scene scared the hell out of me as a kid!

You and me both :joy: :grimacing::hocho::hocho: it’s a freaky scene. To think that Danielle Harris could of actually been killed or hurt cause that was really happening. So much respect for Shanks and Harris.

Ok I made my mind up. H5 Myers “cough cough Castle” I mean house :joy:. It had some serious weirdness and oddness going on. Anybody knows you gotta have that in scary horror movie or else it doesn’t work. But yeah H5 for sure.

Since I’m running my mouth I might as well add that I do dig that H6 fall Halloween goodness that we got Everytime we seen the H6 House. That was dope! You could almost smell the fall foliage along with coldness of the rain going on. Let’s don’t forget the gorgeous colors. What’s not to love. But yeah H6 House did come with some goods. I’ll shut up now lol

I prefer the H6 house. I like how the Myers house in H6 incorporates attributes of the Chicago Bungalow style home, while retaining the classic H1 Myers American Four Square look. It’s a really clever blending, and I think they really found a great house for the movie. Certainly superior to the Victorian style Myers house of H5. Looking back, what the HELL did the writers think Mr. Myers do for a living that they could afford a 3-story vintage Victorian?!

Myer’s Manor from H5 would be a cool design if it wasn’t supposed to be the same house from 78.

I like the H5 house more, cause it ties into the gothic/occult style, especially with H5’s original intro idea using witchcraft

The H6 house is much closer to the '78 house. You could believe that renovations could have happened leading to the H6 house. The H5 house looks spooky and interesting, but there is no way that’s the '78 house. I have to create a story in my head that it was either a house that say one of his parents inherited but had to sell so he did spend time there, it was the house of one set of his grandparents, or something similar.

The H6 house wins for me. It’s the closest to the original out of the two.
