I have seen so many different versions of the H6 mask from SSN to Nightowl to Hardin etc etc it makes my head spin. What are the differences and which one is the most screen accurate and a direct movie mold version from all that are available.
Most of the H6’s out there have some direct lineage to the H6 molds (original shoot and the damaged reshoot molds).
The original shoot mold lineage seems to go like this:
Production mask/blank- Nightowl H6’s (there are several molds/masters), CGP v.1, v.2 (the v.2 being a re-tool; not sure about the v.0 proto and The Damned/The Cursed), Ghastly Pro 6’s (a few molds, from Nightowl master), TOTS H6, The WMP Raining Red is from a CGP v.2 master, a controversial short run WMP mask from a couple years back is a recast of a Nightowl H6, The WMP Wicked Red is a re-tool of the Raining Red/CGP v.2.
Production blank (Justin from Nightowl seems to think it comes from his mask, but other evidence seems to indicate not, so it’s not definitive)- Alex Sanchez 6’s.
Production mask- Brad Hardin v.2, Brad Hardin v.3
Production blank/mask- SSN Curse.
Production blank/mask?- KreationX Kurse (although KX said he became a bit unsure as to the origin of his source mask, it did have an extended neck though which only the SSN Curse has had, so it’s not definitive).
Unknown sources- CGP v.0 (possibly an early re-casting of the production mask/blank used to make the Nightowl and CGP v.1 masks, though the neck is longer than the Nightowl and v.1 and more in line with the v.2 in neck length but not the overall size, in which the v.0 is smaller in the face), CGP The Damned/The Cursed, The Untamed. The Nightstalker Pro Diabolic is a re-tool of the CGP v.0. The WMP Inflicted, Untamed v.2 (just having adjusted eyes and a thinner face area, not resculpt), and Mayhem are re-tools of the Untamed.
Gary Mongar H6’s seem to be recasts of the Nightowl and SSN masks.
Reshoot based masks:
Reshoot molds- SSN Six, SSN Wilbur (with the Wilbur having a Wilbur stamp added onto its’ master), Hardin v.1.
I think that covers all the direct lineage masks and not original sculpts. I hope this helps.
