Hey guys… I was just looking at some screencaps and some shots of the Hero, and the length of the hair caught my eye… It looks considerably shorter than I typically see on Myers replicas… Do you guys think it’s possible that the true hair length on the Hero is much shorter than we all think?
I know most people will probably say that over time some hair has fallen out and I’m sure that’s true to a certain extent but check out this screencap, that Frank78 posted a while back…

I know shorter hair is popular for an H2 mask, but do you guys think that the shorter hair was just exposed more in H2? I think the hair was just as short in H1, we just didn’t see it as much as we did in H2. Just my take on things… Thanks again James for posting that pic!
In the first photo that Clutch posted has anyone noticed all the finger prints on the blade of the knife? Looks like people pick the knife up from the area instead of the handle.
I always figured a shorter hair was accurate – afterall, Capt. Kirk had a rather clean cut look as it is. One thing I’ve noticed on all too many Myers replicas is too much hair… not a length concern, but just too thick.
Yea, good eye. Another thing I’ve always been curious about is, where/when/who started spray painting the masks’ hair with black highlights? Did that come from something T.L. Wallace said or something? I’ve never noticed any black in the hair so I’m curious.
Well, Mike (AHG) I believe started doing that. I personally love the sprayed blonde hair. I think it looks great. The hair on the Hero was sprayed man. I believe it was sprayed black… I could be wrong on the color but I do believe it was sprayed. Mike converted his origonal run conversions the right way, and that’s by changing the original hair on the Kirk rather than rehairing it all together.
i believe it was short ish, not super long, but the collar pushed the hair up making it shorter, and another thing I noticed is the hairline. Its confirmed that its haired without the fold over method but some shots give the illusion it has the fold over.
Yeah, I used to spray the hair on my DP 85’s black and didn’t even know who TLW was at the time. I didn’t soak it down or anything, I just misted it over the top because I thought the light brown was WRONG! Everyone back then laughed at my DP’s because of the light hair color. No one ever mentioned the sideburns or fold-over hair line though!
What I find the most deceiving is the amount of hair on the Hero. In some pictures it seems the mask has a lot and “full” hair (like in the Image that James posted) But on other pictures it seems very thin (less hair) and flat.
I just sprayed black the blonde dyed hair on my RARER and it indeed looks AWESOME. It’s misted black over the top but the blonde creeps through like in the images posted by Benny and J.
