Im having so much trouble finding the “right” way to hair a Myers mask… Any tips/advise?
One thing I tend to do is to find a screenshot from the movie that your mask is from with the deired hair style, try to copy it as best as you can, and spray it down with hairspray, aslo if you want to try to spikes, I recommend running your fingertips through water, that helps with me.
IMO depends on the film you’re going for

It takes a bit of trial and error, because only those that have seen a Kirk up close really know how it was haired. I’m still trying to figure it out…
But a few blurry quickly shot pictures should help:
This is a TOTS Kirk I’m working on turning into a H1 Hero. Needs some more trimming and patching of some gaps on the side, but you get the idea.
My previous attempts had too much overlap on the sides, and hair that was not spread thin enough to sit flat.
Alright thanks everyone, i use E6000 to glue it on in segments, its just a pain but it works pretty well for me. Im doing the 2018 Myers right now and a RZ style next. Heres some photos:
I pretty much give it “bangs” then brush it backwards
As for glue, try rubber cement. I heard it’s great.

that is how most people hair it if you don’t want a visible hair glue line, so you’re not incorrect especially since you’re hairing the new mask.

Yah i was thinking about doing it that way, just put a bunch of it in a condiment container or something so its easier lol
That’s actually how I “learned” (I use air quotes because I learned the process, but didn’t do it) to do it. There was a really old YouTube video showing how to do hair work that follows your method pretty accurately

Kirk glue lines. Barge cement.
Awesome guys thank you! Also I normally use crepe hair but that stuff is so expensive and pretty much need to get 3 “packs” of it per mask which is insane. Any other alternative? I heard Mohair is a good one as well but never tried it yet
I buy wool tops from a local supplier and hand dye it. A lot cheaper in my case.
My current mask is sporting Devon. It seems to be a similar thickness to crepe, but maybe a touch longer and hand dyeing adds a nice wave to it.
