HALLOWEEN (1978) COVERALLS MATCH

Are the sleeves buttons or snaps? Also, is there a hammer loop?

I was waiting for you to chime in, I think I remember having a coveralls discussion or two

Not gonna lie Iā€™m in the same boat.

The button sleeves are snaps and there is no hammer loop. I know it has been pointed out by Kaizu that there is one, I havenā€™t really seen it in any other scenes such as when he walks out of the car to stalk Annie at the Wallace house or when Lester growls at him. Although I donā€™t have a good HD version of the film so perhaps one of yaā€™ll can take some screenshots. If there is one, then there probably is a version out there that comes with a hammer loop. Do yā€™all think you could also get some good HD screenshots of Michael in the schoolyard as well?

On it!

Here you go

Iā€™m in the camp that believes there is NO hammer loop on the hero pair. Check out when Nick gets in the car in the schoolyard scene. Iā€™ve slo-moā€™d that shit so many times.
These seem to be as dead-on as weā€™re EVER going to get, my friend!

You have a good memory! Haha!

Arenā€™t there a few scenes where one is visible though? I forget which ones honestly haha.

Haha, sure do!

Was it this scene?

Yep! Pointed out by Brotha K a few years back

Thanks FutureReference and thanks for the pics RanshiieKrueger84 and TheGhostlyShape! I agree with yaā€™ll, the only time you see the hammer loop is in the kitchen scene. I believe it could just be the shadows and light playing tricks. Also here is a crappy pic of the cuff, I will definitely try to get better pictures of the coveralls this weekend if Iā€™m not busy and it isnā€™t raining.

[EDIT]
Hereā€™s some pics of the packaging and tags. There is sadly no year or anything, but I speculate thses could be from the late 50ā€™s to early 70ā€™s ish.

Man. I think thatā€™s the hero color too, honestly.

Absolutely 100% the hero color, as far as Iā€™m concerned.

This is incredible. Is that a faint herringbone pattern Iā€™m seeing in the closeup of the collar?

The funny thing is it has a strong green color in person. Iā€™m gonna give em a wash to break them in a bit.

No, itā€™s the regular twill type fabric.

No problem, i also brightened up the shots and this part from the stair way may help too

So they were ā€œgrayā€! Ha! Thatā€™s incredible.

If you ever need a kidney hit me up, you know what Iā€™ll take in exchange!

The coveralls could be green still we know sears had Jasons pt4 shirt in olive green

There has to be a year on there somewhere, right? Weird. I hope we can get a year on these so we can check a catalogue
