My Dexter’s not like that. I’d say someone ground his like that at some point, I’ve never seen one like that normally.
Mine is not a Clyde. All Clydes that I’ve seen have the same blade drop from handle as a Dexter or lamson. Mine drops a little quicker. What I’m referring to is at the handle end where the blade begins. Also the bolster on a Clyde is quite similar to most other chefs knives as they angle taper from top to heel on blade as mine is a crescent shape from spine of knife down to heel of blade. Look at my pics comparing the Dexter to it and you see what I mean. I have no idea what brand this one of mine is, but I sure wish I did.
See how the blade drops by looking at the ruler. Also see the bolster difference.
Ah ok. Got you. Sure would love to know what brand of knife it is you have.
Screen cap showing bolster and kinda tell the blade drop.
I found a vintage Clyde cutlery knife on eBay and it DOES indeed have a stamp on the blade in the same spot as the knife in the movie! I haven’t figured out how to load a pic yet coz I’m new to the forum but I do have the link below!
Sent you a pm but posting it here as well, the Case does have a stamp on the Sam spot as well. That’s an awesome Knife though!!
