They played “love hurts” as Brackett walks towards Laurie when she’s shot ??? Ok Rob is trying to hard. That is just plain stupid. I like the song but come on. Rob please stop making movies.

Of the stuff I have seen I think the directors cut is alot better but I still prefer the theatrical ending. just the way he annihilates Loomis’ face is awesome. Idk i like scene with Laurie in the white hallway with the music I think that was a plus but man when this hits the market its going to be killer. I for one will be getting the directors cut on blu ray and the theatrical on dvd.
that new ending was horrible…it seems to me like every version of his Halloween movies have progressively got worse… the best being the workprint of his remake and going further downhill from there… I have not seen, nor do I have any real interest in seing his sequel but from that ending… wow… looks horrendous!
Anther thing I don’t get is why he spent the whole of the first movie explaining away everything with his backstory and then decides to pull all of that and start expecting us to make our own minds up on his sequel by throwing symbolism (white horse, Laurie’s heaven/cell, etc…) all over the place? What a contradiction!
Well I liked the movie but this ending is just bullshit. All I heard about the Director’s Cut, is how crappy it is, and watching this ending, I would believe it. I’ll just ignore it and stick to the theatrical version.

my friend said the same thing, but Michael doesnt need to say anything more. If he were to utter one word, i think die would be the perfect choice. His rage is something unlike anything anyone has ever encountered, and the only person to even come close to doing so was Loomis. But in Loomis’s attempt to somehow fix michael, he wound up giving up. Michael saw this as him failing him, and loomis not wanting to release michael and take him back home. Its natural that the one person Michael had the most rage against was loomis. So in that sence, Loomis would be michaels prime target when it comes to who he wants dead, so michael saying “die” makes sense. As for the mask, perhaps Michael wanted Loomis to see exactly what he created before he died. Alot of people see robs stuff as crap and say that michael shouldnt do this and that etc… I like to look at it like this. Michael is crazy. he is a maniac filled with rage and evil unlike anything anyone could fathom. What he does or sees or says, all depends on the level of madness. He was shot in the head, shot multiple times, stabbed, had a shitty past, and felt betrayed by loomis and his own sister. The guy was far beyond crazy so the fact he sees himself and his mother also doesnt shock me at all. Try explaining why any crazy person does what they do…you cant. Michaels rage and madness caused a mental manifestation of his mother as a way to guide himself, and a younger version of himself as a means to communicate with his mother. It shows his inner child, that he never really grew beyong age 10. He doesnt know any better, and he cant figure whats real and whats not. Then see him speaking as a way of showing that all that built up rage and hatred eventually comes to a point where he probably cant physically take it much longer. His mind is on the verge of completely shutting down and the only thing left on his mind that makes any sense is “DIE”.
Can’t agree more with you by ED_ofthe_DEAD, I thought it was the right way to go. Zombie said he would creat his own movie, not just another Halloween movie. This is diffrent for sure but not bad, its just make sence when he rips off his mask and looks deep in Loomis eyes and said the word “Die”
The movie was great if you ask me.
