either I’m not understanding your post or you are confused. There is a clear shot in the movie where you can see a razor blade in the kid’s mouth…

im just saying what was in my fango maybe i missed it in the movie

Yeah, there’s a clear shot of the razor blade in the kids mouth in the movie. Oh, and I thought I was the only one who gets their mouth torn up by Captain Crunch. Freakin’ devil’s cereal.

Yeah, but Cap’n Crunch is goooooood!!! Sometimes you have to take the pain with the pleasure :tonqe:

that reminds me… it’s that time of year to go pick up a few boxes of Christmas Crunch!!

Well, I’m not sure its ‘clear’. Even on DVD, you have to look very specifically to understand the gag (it’s a very quick shot). As a child, I didn’t know what the kid in the movie was suffering from - and then I learned of the American myth of the razor blade in the apple.

Hey guys,
I’m not sure how old most of you are, but trick-or-treating in the 70s/early 80s, this was a common thing to be afraid of. I don’t remember if it was something that actually happened, or if it was just an urban legend. But, we never bit into (or kept for that matter) any apples/fruit for fear that there was a razor blade in it. Actually when I was really little, it wasn’t uncommon to get homemade things like cakes, cookies, etc…but then those became NO-NOs as well - what a drag. So, I’m sure that razor blade scene was put in the movie because that was a very real fear at that time.

Another fun one was in '82 when Some A-Hole laced Tylenol with cyanide. That put a HUGE damper on trick-or-treating that year; I remember the amount of kids that year was probably less than half of what it had been previously.

right, well maybe because like the previous poster said…I grew up during that time and maybe that’s why I knew exactly what that scene meant, even if it was a quick shot. I remember if people gave out apples when I was growing up, they would find them through their car windows the next day :axe:

I also remember the couple of years that trick or treating went down quite a bit because of worries of people poisoning their children. I always remembered the “bring all your candy home and don’t eat anything until we look at it” rule. So what did me and my brother do? Sat on the curb and gorged ourselves with all kinds of chocolate and candy. But I digress, look at the scene and you can clearly see a razor blade in the kids mouth. That’s one of the scary scenes in the movie that stuck with me, even though MM wasn’t even in it.

Michael Myers totally gave that kid the apple.

Yea dude, I totally remember the candy inspection rule too
Yep, that was one of the scariest scenes for me too, because I remember thinking that that seemed too REAL, while the rest of the movie I could just tell myself, “It’s just a movie, it’s just a movie.” haha

My son laughs at me every time we watch H2, cuz I can’t stand watching that scene. That razor blade in that kids mouth is so real to me.

No problem in the 60’s. We ate everything in the trick or treat bag

I remember back in 92 when some old lady answered the door in an army helmet and dropped a gernade in my trick-or-treat bag. I knew something was up when she ducked back into her house screaming, “Fire in the hole!”

Instead of putting razor blades in apples, people should put apples in razor blades and give that out instead. Imagine a kid going into the hospital going “THERE WAS AN APPLE IN MY RAZOR BLADE AND NOW IT’S STUCK IN MY GUMS!!!”

I don’t know what’s worse on Halloween, though. Razor blades or Cap’n Crunch. (Yes, people used to hand out mini boxes of cereal.)
