First off, I absolutely LOVE this scene, as I do most of every other scene in the film and it’s a very fresh and unique take while reminiscent of the entire Elrod scene in H2 only I have to admit David Gordon Green did it way better (and I have been an H2 fan for yearsss)
That being said, I realized nobody else has noticed that the ONLY error in this entire scene is at the end as he walks behind the lady at the window, you can in fact see the camera guy’s reflection against the backdrop of Michael’s jumpsuit if you look very closely. It’s so subtle but it’s worth pointing out for a fun minor technical error. You heard it here from me first.
Dude lol! I had a feeling that looked off for a movie that is all mostly shot amazingly well that was the only scene I had no idea why it looked strange until you brought it up
Slightly off topic, but there’s one in H2 as well. When Ben Tramer gets run over there’s a wide shot of him on fire pinned between the van and the police car, and the dummy slumps forward and headbutts the hood of the police car. Then in the closeup he’s upright again.
I honestly think they did those things on purpose. The knife in the scene you’re talking about suddenly disappears and reappears as a CGI. They could have easily removed the camera man in the window and other things. Oscar’s first sweater was the same color scheme as the boy that runs into the Shape in H1. I think they wanted this film to fit. I feel it does and makes me like it more for some of the same reasons I adore H1. It’s HalloweeN.
