First off, is this is not allowed or if anyone feels it’s stupid, then MODS please feel free to delete.
Now since someone has tweeted spoilers of the new 2018 Halloween movie (and I am sure more will come) instead of random spoilers getting posted in the main “Halloween 2018 JLC Returns” thread, how about we post them here for the members who don’t mind spoilers?
This way everyone will know the main “Halloween 2018 JLC Returns” thread will and should remain spoiler free, and if they want to know any spoilers about the movie, then they can come to this thread?
I personally don’t mind spoilers. Especially for a sequel. I went into The Last Jedi spoiler-free and was disappointed. When I watched it the 2nd time I liked it more because I knew what to expect. With this new Halloween I’d like to be somewhat informed so I’m not disappointed come October.
But then theres the scenario, if you do love the movie after going into it clear minded, you will get the most enjoyment out of seeing the film, rather than going in already knowing things that will happen, won’t give you as much enjoyment even if you do love the movie either way. But I guess if you want to play it safe, spoil it away for yourself.
Filmmakers are “here to investigate” the events of Halloween in 1978. They approach Michael Myers in prison. They show him his mask and every prisoner around starts lashing out. The teenage granddaughter’s friends discuss Laurie, each has a version of the true story which happened years later. Laurie tells a police officer she has prayed that Michael Myers would escape, so she could kill him. She has a dummy which she uses for target practice. The prison bus crashes and Michael Myers escapes. He approaches a woman in a gas station and drops bloody teeth over the stall. He puts his mask on. The Halloween classic music begins as he goes through a town on Halloween night, with real weapons. Laurie rushes the kids to go home, shoots at him through a window, and it was only a reflection. Chaos ensues. Laurie tells the filmmakers they should believe in the boogeyman. Later, a babysitter tries to close a closet door for a kid, and it won’t close. It bursts open and Michael Myers is there with a knife.
So curious if when they show him the mask does he tilt his head. Sounds like when he escapes gets to gas station kills a woman, puts mask on that he gets at the gas station? Or did he take it from filmmakers, and has it when bus crashes? A lot of answered questions. Doesn’t sound bad from reading article, I kind of dig it. Is it Oct. yet…damn!
I think we can have a bit of both TBH. I’l be happy as long as we get the look/feel of the original Halloween: Myers in the shadows, lurking, watching, waiting, not showing to much of the mask, creepy looking streets… all that kinda stuff.
I wonder if the dummy is made too like like Myers? That would be great. Kinda be like another infamous prop like you see in Halloween 6 with that Myers cut out with a cheap white half mask in the Myers house yard.
This really had me wondering "he goes through a town on Halloween night, with real weapons’’ Wonder exactly what that means, like he has a bag of stuff or he is carrying a knife in one hand and some other weapon in the other? IDK but sound funny the way ‘‘real weapons’’ was used. Could be making something out of nothing i just excited over all this.
