Halloween 2018 - The “New” Shape.

Jim Courtney is really built. Dude looks like a customer you don’t wanna F with. Mix that with coveralls that look a size too small and it creates this bizarre look…that I actually quite like. Looks out of place in a great way.

Well true, because men do grow until the age 21 so that may be possible. 5+ inches may be a stretch, but hey it’s 40 years later and I think I can get over that small discrepancy. Again, the mannerisms are on point IMO though.

We must wait and see but so far it is looking good. For the most part people either believe Castle or Warlock to be the “best Myers” and their head shapes were polar opposite making the mask stretch differently. I wouldn’t over think it, with Carpenter in the driver’s seat I think we will have a nostalgic interpretation of Myers with a badass mask to boot. This isn’t Tyler Mane so I don’t think the size will even be noticeable

Also the older you get you shrink kinda. Back gets curves and your posture isn’t best.

In the closet scene when he attacks Vicky in the trailer he looks smaller. Did they build a lower floor on the set for Courtney?
She is 5’ 8" (1,73 m), he appears to have the same height as Castle, 5’ 10" (1,78 m).

True… Myers would be in the age bracket of 61 yo . In the first 2 movies his height was 5’ 10 - 5’ 9. If he was institutionalized for the last 40 years I doubt he would be getting in buff condition and I believe he would still be the same height. At 21 I was 5’10 now at 59 I’m about 5’ 91/2 to 5’ 3/4 in between castle & warlock. I 'm large in frame and want to cut 25lbs by Halloween to look good in my coveralls. I just think the first to movies the actor was a good average height. The mask & his manner in the way tthey moved is what was frightening not their size

Judging by the trailer, He looked incredible like seriously we haven’t seen Michael have a good body movement since II (no disrespect to the others but they had flaws I will say Don Shanks came close though).
The scene with the closet at the end just reminds me so much of Nick Castle/Dick Warlock. That eerie stiff and stillness is right on the map. I’m just hoping the film will be amazing and Michael needs a good rejuvenation after the travesty that was Resurrection and Rob Zombie’s remakes.

Couldn’t have said it better myself man! :myers: JJC nailed that Castle walk movement walking into them trick or treaters Holy cow man! :open_mouth:

Nick Castle did Michael’s breathing in the new movie (post production).
In the original 1978 movie it was added in post production by the re-recording guys (according to Castle).
Thomas Causey (sound mixer), William L. Stevenson (supervising sound editor), Tex Rudloff (re-recording mixer) and Lee Strosnider (sound mixer).
I guess it was Tex Rudloff who did the breathing noises.

Michael Jordan grew almost 4 inches in a year I believe so it’s possible. But…it makes sense to make Michael bigger and taller. People are taller on average these days and a 5’9” or 5’10” killer just isn’t menacing to some. I work with some guys that would walk up to Castle and stomp on him and take the knife. Michael looking literally up to a lot of men these days isn’t that menacing. Courtney was a good choice and Mane was a good choice. For this movie Courtney obviously because it is 40 years later and he’s older than Mane

This is THE movie to do justice to Myers with the new generation of possible fans who didn’t see the first 1978 film. Unfortunately some new comers in this generation may find the 78 version boring. I don’t, but saying 20s to college to teens today may.

This thread is old but just my two cents, kids this generation have short attention span therefore ruining films for us older generation of peeps.

Mask still looks better on Castle, though his body doesn’t cut it anymore

Yea he’s old fat now lol he could of at least went on diet or worked out with trainer

He did try. He hit the treadmill with the mask on from his Instagram.

Let the man rest, he’s had a good run in life, I wouldn’t want him to do anything that would hurt him and his health, remember he’s 71.
