What is everyone’s concensus on James Jude Courtney’s portrayal of the Shape? Of course I mean based on what we’ve seen in the trailer thus far. I’m getting a few characteristics he may have learned from Castle so I’m pretty excited. Just wanted some other opinions!
From what we’ve seen, I think he’s doing great. There were a few moments in the trailer where I was convinced I was looking at Castle, the come to find out Castle is only in the window scene

I thought JJC was Castle too. His movements are insane!

I just read Courtney is 6’3"…I thought they were looking to keep the new actor in the same stature as castle from the original?? He is 5" taller than Castle

Well at least the supposed scene with Castle, wou won’t really get a scale of him so it won’t be jarring and inconsistant when we do see him. We shall see, but agreed, like what I’m seeing.

I think it’s not a stretch to think Michael wasn’t done growing and grew a few inches.

He looks like he absolutely killed it. I think he’s a bit too big IMO, but other than that, his screen presence and movements are so good I thought it was Castle at times.

From what I’ve seen. He looks too big. Myers should be thin. James Courtney is not. Bad choice imo. But everyone is entitled to their own.
Lets just say Michael was still growing in 78. Sounds good too me. Case closed…
Michael has been on a high protein, creatine and roids diet. So I can see him getting bigger
Yes for some reason they have to morph him into some big guy. looked more believable in the original & H2 .

No, deff not THAT bad but still Castle & Warlock were 5"10 & 5"9. Looked better as an average killer. And It’s 40 years later…Myers is what…in his mid 60’s?? I could see him a bit heavier
60-61!? Im just so thankful too have such a badass movie coming! Matter of fact I been so excited that it’s causing me too have panic attacks lately.

Agreed. Look, I understand the older you get, the more weight you put on. But he just looks too thick for my taste .
