Halloween 3, Remake or Stop....?

No matter which version of Halloween 2 you consider to be the real version. There is no doubt whatsoever that Michael Myer’s is truly dead in both versions.

The Theatrical:

Shot with a 22 cal rifle.

Falls into a hay combine and is impaled on it.

Stabbed in the chest and neck area 9 times by Laurie.

The 10th and final knife blow with that 19 inch beast goes into the right side of his exposed face through his orbital socket. Surely hitting his brain.

The Directors Cut- had him cheese grated by massive cop issued gun fire of various calibers- shotguns, 9’s and rifles.

To me Michael is really dead now. If they can make a 3rd one that honors that. A Laurie centric story that’s even more focused on her than the last one- Then I’m game, but I would be pissed if she was the killer. It’s too easy a road to take. So what can be done?

I guess I don’t know where I stand honestly.

-Piranha was not filmed in 3d, and because of this I highly doubt Halloween 3 will be filmed with 3d camera’s. The 2d to 3d conversion process looks horrible. So I’m very against the 3d right out the gate, if they don’t film it with 3D cameras.

I think if they go focusing on Laurie it will end up and feel like the original Halloween 3 with no Michael. I say they wait a few years and do it then.

I took a girl on a date to see RZH2…and I was soooo embarrased!
I personally hated it. And I make a point of telling friends and family to never buy me (b.day or xmas present) it, because I WILL burn it.
I think Myers 3D might come along, it all depends how much money the 3d era is bringing in the studios.

I think they should start a fresh…a new family…a new michael. A new story. A new mask.
But not for at least 10 years. Im against all these remakes…but the ALIEN prequel should be good,
Before we know, SAW will be remade! lol

I’d LOVE to see a Halloween 3 remake (Silver Shamrock). I think it’d be pretty cool, especially if DP released a new line of the masks that could be used in the film.

Unfortunately, I don’t think they’d ever be interested in this, considering the failure of the original movie. I also think the film would be so modernized that it would miss the point of the original film. Most modern horror films think you need sex, drugs, and swearing to make a good film people will enjoy, but it’s quite the contrary…
