Hey guys, I’ve been out of the loop when it comes to the Halloween franchise as of the past year or so. I’ve recently got back into horror films again though. Anyway, I’m preparing to write my first screenplay and I’ve been reading some horror movie screenplays as a way of “studying” I guess you could say. As I was reading scripts I came across a website that gave a 4 part summary/review of the Halloween 3D script that was never made into a movie ( http://www.zekefilm.org/2012/10/15/review-the-halloween-3d-script-part-i/ ) I haven’t heard anything about the script being leaked or anything so I was wondering how this website came across the script to read it and review it. If it is online somewhere I’d appreciate it if someone were to show me where I can read it.
Sorry for being out of the loop on this if this is old news haha.
I read it. I thought it was quite amazing to be honest. There’s only a few scenes in it that need some mild refining. Everything else was exceptionally well done, extremely creative and so over the top crazy/wild- I couldn’t stop reading it until it was done. It’s a hell of a rollercoaster ride.
I don’t agree with the reviewers comments about Laurie being mismanaged or misused.
Even though I read it. I don’t plan on sharing it. I want to see this movie happen. If tons of people read it; The movie inside this screenplay wont become the movie we’ll see on the silver screen. There’s a lot of creative energy in this screenplay with lots of over the top action and exceptionally creative kill scenes. It’s got that “Can’t look away” thing about it.
It’s Halloween meets the Bride of Frankenstein meets TCSM 2 meets The Dream Warriors.
That’s disappointing haha. I’ve looked at a ton of websites a few days ago and I can’t seem to find it. I’m interested in how they made Michael the way he was in the original.
Michael isn’t at all like he was in the original film in this script. In some ways it’s unintentionally campy, but in a good way. If I had to take a guess as to why this movie is trapped in development hell. I’d say it was a budget issue, due to the large scale property damage and special effects it will require. The body count in this movie is the highest it’s ever been in the franchise and all the kills have that “Creative Friday The 13th Kill” aspect to them.
