I converted this Masket Case Studios IV blank back in October for a photo shoot that never happened. I am a huge H4 fan… but not a fan of the mask in every single scene… more of a “conditional” H4 mask fan I guess you could say. But I dearly love the movie and it’s strong Halloween feel… and I watch it at least monthly to help keep my Halloween juices flowing throughout the off season.
I sold this mask a few days ago (and I will never be able to replace it ) but wanted to share it here since I rarely do H4s. Don’t get me wrong, I love doing these but never have any requests for H4 work. Maybe that will change! This may not be entirely accurate, but it’s how I envision H4, or at least how I see it in the scenes that I like the most. The opening dream scene is my favorite… so I reference that look a lot. I added little personal touches like the vintage yellow glue and crazy vintage hair fiber. Again, maybe not super accurate, but it’s the way I like my part 4 mask to look, and everything was perfect to me. I only need one good H4, and I should have hung onto this one! I miss it already, but I do have dibs on it if the new owner decides to ever let it go.
That’s just wicked. I always thought the H4 mask had a creepy vibe to it despite the overall dislike it seems to get and this definitely has that creepy factor.
That looks great! The H4 mask is definitely one of my favorites, just looks so creepy and emotionless, shame it doesn’t get much love, regardless, great work!
Much appreciated fellas! The H4 mask is a little out of my league, but I am feeling much more comfortable doing them now. As simple as the H4 mask is, I still have lots of visions and variations that I would like to give a shot. I do have at least one more in line to do, but I would like to have several to be honest. So please don’t hesitate to request an H4 if you are in my queue.
That mask looks amazing! I agree with you JC…there are certain scenes where the H4 mask looks great and others where it does not. Overall, I love the H4 Mask because it has all the Kirk features.
Take away the sideburns and put Nick Caslte’s head in the mask…you’ve got an H1
