Halloween 6 Bootleg Producers Cut

So I know the producers cut finally got an official dvd/blueray release in like 2014 but I wanted to ask if anyone still has the original bootleg versions that were being passed around in the world back in the day. Like what do they look like etc I’m just curious is all.

I saw that exact video and that’s what made me very interested about it. Like I know it’s the same movie as official release just shitty quality and well a bootleg case but I think it would be pretty cool to own one it is a piece of history even if it’s technically unofficial

Please do, I know they have alot of setting up shots, prettty sure its on the official release, i have it ill check it out compare notes with you. Farrands had a way better ending in the original script FYI. Also of note, Halloween 666 was the original title of the first script Farrands submitted.

:smiley:I used to be a VHS fanatic and then started replacing bit by bit when dvd first arrived…I then started buying my fav movies on blu ray etc…then it kind of went nuts. Thats why I will now only be buying my absoloute “musts” on HD blu ray.
My son estimated around 6’000..I’m just not counting 'em period

When Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers was first released, I remember a friend of ours had a VHS copy—one of those shaky, bootleg tapes. He even gave me a copy, however it was so poorly made that it looked like someone filmed it with a camcorder from inside the theater. It turned out, it wasn’t even an official recording. The whole thing was pretty terrible, honestly unwatchable. Still, I really appreciated the kind gesture; knowing I am such a big Michael Myers fan. The tape didn’t even come with a proper sleeve or artwork, probably just taped over something else with one of those masking tape labels that read: MM H6 CURSE PRO. Honestly, it was pretty junky. If I still had that tape today and decided to sell it on eBay, I think I could have gotten a few hundred bucks  —even with its rough quality. There’s always someone out there willing to buy almost anything, right? But I wouldn’t want to take advantage of that, not that type of person.

I bought an entire set of H6 bootlegs from ioffer years ago. I still have them all. Don’t wanna post faulty info, so when I go to lunch in a few, I’ll post pics. They look like VHS rips, and as far back as I purchased them, I’m sure they are. Low quality but at the time it was the only way to own them.:jack_o_lantern::kitchen_knife::jack_o_lantern:

Starting again with 4K… :grimacing:..sounds like a nightmare
But if I was……I would have to limit myself to like my maybe 50 favourite films. Jaws and first halloween being the first 2 obviously… :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I have two DVD copies of the producer’s cut that I bought on EBay about twenty years ago. One of them has horrible image quality the entire way through and the other has better quality for the theatrical cut scenes and then when it switches to the producer’s cut the quality drops dramatically.

I have a download of the H6 set that William_Blasko mentioned above. It’s a five-disc set that has the producer’s cut, director’s cut, rough cut, TV cut, and a bonus disc.

The director’s cut is basically the same as the theatrical cut but it has a small amount of extra dialogue between Loomis and Wynn at the end, some more gore, an alternate opening with the baby in a hospital, and uses temp music from other movies. The rough cut is the same as the producer’s cut but has a small amount of extra dialogue. The TV cut is the theatrical cut with some of the producer’s cut scenes added in.

Wow those are so cool I really would love to own a copy of Halloween 666 or the bootleg version whatever you wanna call it. Closet thing I own is a “Don’t Fear The Reaper Cut” of the new Halloween trilogy. I have yet to even actually watch it but if I remember correctly it’s supposed to have all three movies in one whole big movie and “fix” some problems with Ends.

Edit: just watched the whole thing, basically cuts out the entire Corey plot line and it’s just Michael. It’s a good edit done and was made by Roy Damm, can find him on Facebook. It does however make ends a much shorter film I’d give or take 30-40ish minutes.

Thats awesome..the whole removal of the corey crap would improve the movie dramatically.

Positive oneof them was called Judith
