halloween 6 dead fetus room

wtf is with the room in halloween 6 that has dead fetus in it are the cult people trying to make another michael myers someone please tell me

trying to explain anything in that movie is damn near impossible with all the changes and re shoots it went through

GASP* watch the p cut instead

Ya hes right it could mena anything different it ech version of the film!!! I dont think the scene has no meanig in the theatrical version

It was a meta commentary on the miscarriage of a re-write. Stick with the producers cut, lucky charms and all.

I too prefer my p-cut as well. It’s just a much better version of the movie and with more backstory. However a good friend of mine had once brought my attention to something. When Kara sees the fake fetus there in the lab room to use as the fake baby, the camera quickly pans over there and you briefly see what appears to be a DNA chart. It always made me wonder if the cult was secretly into genetically engineering future generations of the cult. Now I’m sure I’m probably looking a bit deep into things per say, but had anyone else ever picked up on a similar theory from the theatrical cut?

I think the implication was that the mysterious cult of subterranean pediatricians known as Thorn were trying to aplly Michael’s unique restorative abilities toward a scientific breakthrough. Yup, the worlds biggest serial killer might be the cure for cancer and that’s reason enough to let him roam around their facility seemingly unsupervised.

You have to remember the X-files was big around this time.

This is true. Though it wasn’t a bad idea for them idea to intercept horror with scientific possibilities via the Thorn cult.
:sunglasses:

i still like the rough cut/workprint better than the p-cut

I like the mask and that’s about it. Once michael starts plowing his underage niece with the cult watching I had to admit the train had left the tracks and we couldn’t be further from Carpenters vision. We’re expected to believe Michael chased Jaime around with a knife for 2.5 movies just so he could knock her up? Why have her with the cult at all? She was alone in a police station at the end of 5. And when did Michael get a tat? He’d been under supervised care for all but two nights of his adult life . Part 6 was left with the impossible task of explaining the unexplainable part 5. Six had it’s moments, I liked bringing tommy and wynn back, although you had to wonder where Bracket was for all the sequels…The whole thing is a hodge podge of unrealized story arcs with far too many children in the mix.
