Sorry to start a whole thread for a random question lol, but I forgot where I read or watched this, but I heard that the Halloween 6 mask was meant to resemble the original as if Michael had worn it so long it molded to his face. Or is supposed to still be the same mask from 5 that he’s worn that whole time?
I remember reading that somewhere too, if I recall right, John did the mask based off the original hero, but it was not taken off and eventually just sagged and moulded to his face, I could be wrong though
I sae that it was sculpted off of a single picture of the original, on dick warlock’s head, (classic H4 cover mask look).
The H6 resembles the H1 as if it were aged and warped to look more evil. The H5 is just a completely different take on Myers in my eyes! From nose appliance to hair it is just very completely it’s own entity. After collecting for years I have to admit it has grown on me but I used to hate that look lol!
The H6 basically looks like a warped version of the H1 but more specifically how it looks on the H4 poster/cover, warped due to age and wear but not falling apart like the RZH and H40 masks. From what I recall George Wilbur’s head was used as a template so the mask would fit him better than the H4 mask. Out of all the sequel masks it’s really the only one that tries to be similar to the H1 mask (while not being a copy and being its’ own thing). Even the hair has the sideburns removed look and built in glue marks.
Yes, I’ve heard the H6 mask was meant to be a sort of throwback to the H1 mask. I have to be honest though, for some reason I always get an H4 vibe from the H6 mask. I think it’s the eyes and eyebrows.
Its probably my favourite mask after the original but you really need to have the eyes blacked out in order to make it really scary, for some reason when theyre not blacked out doesnt look quite as intimidating. Also got love for the h5 mask which looks badass without trying too hard to br, theres just something about it that makes it super eerie and like the big neck for some reason. Probably the h6 and H5 are my favourite after the H1, never really cared for the h4 and the h20 or resurrection masks. Thought they were going the right way with the h6 but started going downhill with h20. Just wish it wasnt like the original batman movies (where they used different actors and different costumes for each movie), i know its the same mask from h1 to h2 and the rob zombie movies but wished they had used the h6 (or a variation of it) in h20, would have loved to see that kind of continuity with the mask even if the storyline wasnt.
