Would anyone else like to see a Halloween Anthology done by John Carpenter, Nick Castle, and Tommy Lee Wallace? Between the three of them they could write, produce, direct, edit, and music score them.
Every October they could release 60-90 minute Halloween/horror themed film that always starts with the title “Halloween” followed by a subtitle kinda like what I’ve listed below.
Halloween: Evil Nightmares
Halloween: The Ghost House
Halloween: Trick or Treat Time
Halloween: The Woods
If you mean something along the lines of Halloween 3 Season Of The Witch, where we get a completely different story and characters for each film that has nothing to do with Michael Myers, then yes, I would be very curious to see what they could come up with.
That would require them to get the Halloween name back from Malek Akkad. It’d be interesting, and honestly should’ve been how Halloween went going forward…but Michael’s too popular now.
Had the studios not force Carpenter to make H2, we could have gotten that, I would love to see it still done where Michael is featured at the beginning, but he vanishes, never to be seen again, but leaves behind a hint to a new Halloween idea on the same night he’s gone, it’d pass the torch on
Due to a broken verbal agreement by John Carpenter, whereas he signed a contract with Avco Embassy to make The Fog, when John already had a verbal agreement to make The Fog with Irwin Yablans and Compass International, the only way for John not to get sued by Irwin was to make Halloween II. John forced his own hand to make Halloween II. That’s why he hates it.
They can’t as the main title. That’s the unfortunate thing. They need the actual trademark given to them to be able to do anything with. And Carpenter’s old enough now that he probably wouldn’t care to do anything with it before he died, unfortunately.
Yes. It would be pretty awesome! Ever seen Tales From The Darkside movie? It would be similar to that except the whole movie would be a single story instead of 3 short ones.
