I think you need an Instagram account to view

Very cool

I’m shocked but that shows how important the streaming wars have become

I imagine it’s NBC trying to get people to use Peacock, which hasn’t been as successful as HBOMax or AppleTV.

not exactly, many films have exclusively seen theater releases this year, (top gun comes to mind immediately)and have been huge successes. there is plenty of data available showing how poorly revenues faired when studios offered a stream/coinciding theater release. this decision points to the studio not trusting this film being able to match kill’s revenue with a theater only release. in a sense they expect this film to likely perform similarly or worse so why change the formula from last year too much?

Top Gun is proof that people still like to go to the Cinema, Mulan is proof that streaming isn’t all that great

I’m pretty sure if they did theatrical only release they would get a much higher amount of money. The only reason they’re doing both is to try and push more people to their app bc their app is lacking subscriptions when compared to other services

Netflix, HBO and Disney+ did all of it before them, Shudder too

I would go to the cinema a lot more if people were more respectful. H40 was kind of ruined for me by a teen with his phone and a clear addiction to Snapchat

I went to Kills in costume and we even had the original Halloween in cinemas too the night before, I sat through kills in costume and never took my mask of the second time round, it freaked people out
