Halloween Fan edits (good versions of H6, Resurrection, Rob Zombie remakes, etc.)

Hi guys! These aren’t my work but it’d be wrong of me not to share with you guys! They are fan edits of the, for lack of a better term, “bad Halloween movies”, such as H6 and Resurrection, that make them infinitely better. Plus a few extra goodies. Below is the link and descriptions of the edits, hope you guys enjoy!!

"John Carpenter’s The Longest Halloween I condensed Halloween, Halloween 2, and Halloween 4 into one 2hr 45 minute movie. I think the storylines actually blended together pretty well.

Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers Hybrid Edit I took what I thought were the best parts of both the theatrical cut and producers cut and created a hybrid. Michael is no longer the father of Jamie’s baby. The Producer’s cut was mainly used for the first 3/4 but I did edit parts of the theatrical cut into it as well. I used the theatrical cut for it’s ending because I felt it was a little more ambiguous and showed Michael killing everyone, implying that he can’t be controlled. However, I got rid of the hard rock Halloween theme, replaced it with traditional Halloween music and redid most of the sound design. I also created a finale scene combining both cuts.

Halloween: Resurrection (The Make Michael Scary Again edit) For this I eliminated all the kung fu, all the trash talk, most of the awful dialogue, seriously cut down Busta Rhymes, rescored and redid the sound design for a lot of it. Michael comes across as more brutal and the characters are actually scared of him.

Rob Zombie’s Halloween (The 1978 edit) I tried to align the remake tonally more with the original. Michael no longer speaks as a child, the white trash family aspect is gone, the gore and language have been very much toned down, and a lot of it has been rescored and re-edited.

Rob Zombie’s H2 (The Likable Characters edit) I tried to make this movie actually seem like a halloween movie. A lot of rescoring was done as well as a lot of cuts were made. Ridiculous dialogue is gone, gore is toned down, more traditional Halloween themes were used, I made Laurie a bit more likable in the beginning and toned down Loomis at least a bit because it was over the top."

Gotta check out these fan edits. I always love seeing what the fans come up with to make films better. If your interested i did a little fan edit of Halloween 6 the producers cut ending. Its mostly the same ending but i added in a few scenes from the theatrical to make the ending have more of a punch to it. I rescored some of the music in the theatrical scenes too to make it more in line with the rest of the movie. Here’s the link if anyone is interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYwo6ygnuhI

Basically I just want the original Halloween (1978) and Halloween II (1981) spliced together with no cuts to anything side from the opening sequence and credits to Halloween II. Would also be nice if the deleted or made-for-TV scenes were thrown in, if possible!

If anyone has this, that would be greatly appreciated!

Without Loomis acting shocked at the beginning of H2? That would be nice. Although the “I SHOT HIM SIX TIMES” would probably need to be omitted as well.

Resurrection without the goofy bs must be a pretty short film, like 70 minutes.

Hate to bump this from the dead, but does anyone know where to get those longest night, rob zombie 1978, and scary resurrection edits? They are not in the google drive anymore.

Yeah they are not in the drive anymore and I’ve been trying to access them, as well, including the “H2 Likable Characters Edit.” I vote that this thread be taken down as the link doesn’t quite represent what is described.

Wow I give you credit you must have had to do a ton of work to make these movies even resemble a shred of what could be considered a good film. I didn’t think that was even possible. I will definitely check them out …

Hey! Randomly came across this so I signed up for the forum. I’m actually the creator of these fanedits. The google drive that these were stored on became outdated and google began removing certain copyrighted material from them. If anyone is still interested in any of these you can feel free to email me at makebmga@gmail.com. All together I’ve created six different Halloween fanedits.
