Hello everyone,
Had a little time on my hands and decided to make some custom figures. What got me started? My five year old daughter. This past Halloween she was introduced to Michael Myers, by way of having a little part in Halloween Season a fan film by Blinky Productions. She was fascinated by the character, and saw that I had the mask and coveralls as well, so she asked me, if she could watch the movie. Good parent, bad parent…that is the question. Well I just happened to have a copy of the first time on television NBC airing from 1981 complete with commercials sitting on my shelf so I let her watch it. The movie is edited and harmless, so we watched and enjoyed it. To make a long story short… fast forward the boring Dr,. Loomis talking blah blah blah, I just want to see the scary parts. Didn’t faze her one bit, so she started asking me for the toys.
I tried converting a 74 Mego Kirk into Micheal Myers, but the project left me with a naked mental patient. Not good. Went to a flea market last weekend and started looking through old toy bins and came up with some very nice looking Fisher Price Adventure People! Remember those? Found some pretty cool ones complete with 70’s bell bottom pants and a pilot with coveralls! Anyway here are the pics of my little experiment, and yes, now she wants me to make her Myers and Doyle doll houses as well.
Let me know what you think. And Happy Turkey Day!!
