looks like I won’t be getting a chance at buying one of these after Universal is done with them for the season. I just got a facebook message from my friend who is a “scare actor” in the HALLOWEEN maze, and here’s what she had to say:
“Hi! I talked to an operations manager, and she said universal only has the rights to the michael myers property for horror nights so the masks are destroyed after the event and can’t be sold or used anywhere else.”
you talk about a major bummer, especially for all the FX artists who worked hard to make at least 30 of them for this year’s run. I have my suspicions that at least 1 or 2 will be kept just because, but imagine all the rest, as well as the H3 masks they created for the maze, going to the furnace once it’s all over. oh well…
dude, great pics you captured there! it’s funny, I did get reminded of the H6 mask in certain points of the maze. it just depended on who was wearing it, I guess. I saw some masks that looked very H1-ish too. the only footage I have of the masks is on miniDV tape I shot in HD, so I’ll get some screen captures for you all soon.
Im pretty sure they had a few different styled masks. i even saw some that looked real dirty and ones that were clean. That sucks they are going to be destroyed.

That sucks you couldn’t save a couple of these from being euthanized Zach, they would have been great for a Halloween mannequin or some other display this year.
Great photos! I thought they looked H6 like as well. REALLY hope they do another Myers maze in the future. They did a fantastic job. Front of the line pass is the ONLY way i’ll ever go again, haha.
I think the mask is diffrent it still looks like myers ! Unlike Rob Zombies mask that looks nothing like Myers.I wish the would have used the clean one in part 9 and not the rotted one.
I wounder if anyone would make a fan made mask from universals mask? Ive got even more pics and a video talking to one of the actors smoking behind the myers house!
I think the hair looks a little goofy but other than that I like the mask. It’s in the “Butcher” category for me. It’s not a movie mask, but it still looks cool.
It’s a shame that they’re all going to be destroyed. I bet it would look awesome after some work from JC.
