Halloween II costume questions.

Hi all. I have a couple of questions. I own the Trick or Treat studios mask and was wondering if there’s a paint I could get to coverup the nose as it’s a little too dark for me. I know it’s based on how it looked in the film but I’m just not too crazy about it.

My 2nd question. I’m going to order a pair of the spruce green Red Kap coveralls as they seem to be the popular choice. My chest size is 38 regular but I’ve read where people found them to be a little too tight. Should I try a size 40 regular to be safe? Thanks for the help.

Without getting an airbrush, latex paints, etc., there wouldn’t be a cheap way to go about your question for just the nose. You could order some white latex paint and a sponge brush to cover up the darkened nose area. The cheapest and easiest route would be for you to go to a costume shop or order online a white grease make up to rub over the nose until it looks white enough for you. Granted, oil and grease eats away latex and wouldn’t be good for the mask long term but would help you out with your problem. I’m not saying the mask’s nose will rot off in a week with some grease paint on it, it won’t, but normally you want to stay away from oils on latex. I imagine this would suffice in what you’re looking to do.

Instead of painting over weathering I would try to remove some of it to reveal the white under it. I’m not 100% on how the TOTS masks are sealed but I would take some warm soapy water and dampen a clean rag. Rub it til some of the weathering is wiped off being careful to not rub so hard to remove the white paint. Give that a shot. If soap and water don’t work try a bit of rubbing alcohol and if that doesn’t work perhaps a bit of Windex. Regardless just rub gently at first and use as much force as is needed to get the effect you’re looking for. And Always make sure you dry and powder your mask if you get the inside wet.
