**_I’ve had a Cemetary Gate Productions Halloween III set for some time but was never quite satisfied with the paint. The Pumpkin and Witch did not have the day glow paint and the skull was just “ok”. This is how they looked before the repaint:
I was hoping to obtain the original “real deal” Don Post masks but after several attempts (some VERY close) I finally decided that for the time being I needed to take what I already have and get them as close to the real set as possible.
The only sensible thing to do was call on the service of the man who painted the actual masks used in Halloween III…Rob Tharp himself! The day glow paint was used on the Witch and Pumpkin just like the paint used in Halloween III and a much better hood was made for the witch by a very good friend of mine here on the board.
Rob and Cathy were absolutely fantastic to work with, I HIGHLY would recommend their services to anyone. Rob did an absolutely TREMENDOUS job on these and they are now magnificent instead of “ok”. Although nothing beats the original Don Post masks, this is the next best thing!
Love these now and they will suffice until if/when I can find an original set. Thanks for looking everyone!
This first pic shows the true color of the Witch and the Pumpkin the best. The Day glow paint ups are a bit hard to capture in pics without “dulling down” their BRIGHT colors!
Rob done a top notch job on the paintups and you have them setup/displayed perfectly,i am not a massive follower of the H3 stuff but that witch looks really close to the originals, are these CGP Hagatha’s recast from the originals Benny ?
_Thanks knightknite05, the recast Witches all have less detail in them than the original DPs so I had a very specific paint scheme for Rob to compensate for this. He nailed it perfectly in my opinion!
Thanks Anthony, all three masks were cast off originals. The Pumpkin is almost identical in size and detail (now paint too!), the Witch is very similar but a tad larger and a little less detail. The Skull suffers the worst from the recasts, it is a bit distorted and less detail. Smaller as well.

Absolutely phenomenal difference,Benny!!Talk about the right move and getting the right man for the job That was a brilliant move and that set looks a million times better. They look like the real McCoy to me!!Also, you know how I feel about that display case.
Amazing trio, Benny! They look a lot better after the repaint. The witch looks terrific and that hood looks perfect! When you need to move these after you get an original set please let me know.
Wow Benny!.. I don’t even know what to say! That is pure “EYE CANDY”, and I must admit that I am beyond jealous! Jett saw them and said “maybe our set will turn out as good, huh Dad?” I simply said “I doub’t it very seriously, son”, and he just looked at me like “why not”? Awesome score bud, and great pics to boot!
_Thanks alive03, appreciate the kind words about the mask as well as the display!
xPsychopath, thanks very much man and will do! My memory is CRAP so when you see 'em up for sell just hit me up.
James man! Thanks buddy, considering your talents anything that makes YOU jealous is quite a compliment. Lol, you tell Jett they will be just fine! He could paint that skull blue with yellow polka dots and as long as he is smiling that would be fine with me.
Thanks Randall, appreciate you man!
Thank you Killerpsychomask, I really appreciate the kind comment bro.
DarknessBDJM, thank you very much for taking the time to reply in my thread with the kind words.
Thank you Weana0815! I really appreciate ALL of you!!

Thanks Puckface, this day glow paint Rob used on these (and the originals) really does GLOW in the DAY it is so bright! Really brings out the kid in you when you see these things, like being in a Halloween isle in a store as a child!
