Halloween III masks

Got a new lens for my camera recently and took some new shots of my H3 masks to share

Screen used Witch (foam filled and yes the paint was restored by the same guy that painted them for the movie)

Screen used Pumpkinhead (all original)

And the Skull (not screen used that I know of but it has the extra neck area)

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing. What do you mean when you say the Skull has extra neck area?

He has had them for YEARS

I never get tired of seeing your H-III set, Aaron.
Cool pics!

I actually used to have a different ID here years ago but I couldn’t remember what it was so I had to make a new one.

Took me over 20 years to find and complete this set. LOL

If you look close the necks on the Skulls in the movie look a little longer than normal. Watch when Cochran puts the mask on Dr Challis.
The neck on this copy is at least an inch longer than any of the other copies I’ve owned.

When I got the mask the paint was cracked and flaking badly. My friend Rob has worked at Don Post since the early 70s and painted the masks for the film so I asked him to repaint it for me. I figured since he painted them for the film that would keep it more “original”. The only thing I asked was that if there was a difference between how the movie masks and regular production masks were painted that he do it up “movie style”. I know the color looks a little different from most masks but before sending he asked me to remove the hood and just send the mask. When I did that it peeled off some of the original paint and left it on the hood. When the mask came back the new paint on it matched the old paint still stuck to the hood EXACTLY. I still need to glue it back on but I kinda like being able to see the whole mask without the hood if I want to LOL

Sweet pics man.
You definitely have one of the nicest original sets in the hobby. :sunglasses:
