**_After owning a few decent Hagatha replicas, I realized the only way I would be TRULY satisfied is to get a real one from the Jim Leonard mold.
The recasts I own are pretty good (especially after being given “the treatment” by Rob and Cathy Tharp) but the detail in them leaves something to the imagination. The depth of the eyes, detailed “wrinkles” and overall shape of the recasts are very pale in comparison to the real deal.
This is a vinyl pull from the mold Jim did when the witches were changed from latex to vinyl (no one seems to know the reason why this was done) and it has great detail! - **EDIT: See updated info at bottom
For some reason, I guess because they are hooded anyway, the ears were not added but that is fine since she will be displayed with the hood which will be attached soon. -**EDIT: See updated info at bottom

**By the way everyone, I got the answer (from Cathy Tharp) of why the Hagathas were changed from latex to vinyl by Don Post studios and why the ears were not added back when they were.

Today is a REALLY nice day here after a wet and crappy summer. Unusually cool (70’s) and almost no humidity, feels very much like a perfect Fall day so 'Ol Hagatha along with this weather is really getting me pumped for the season!
I remember you telling me about this witch, she’s beautiful! I love how the detail is crisp and the paint fresh. The color really lights it up. I’m looking forward to seeing the hood you picked for it, I’m imagining a nice hood on her right now, I tell you it’s a great picture in my mind.
I couldn’t agree more on the weather, I walked outside recently and couldn’t believe how great it felt, the humidity is gone and cool breeze is there in the midst of a hot day which makes it perfect for me.

It just doesn’t get any better than that. Lovely photos of a beautiful mask! It was a nice, Fall-ish day here as well. The rain this summer has been pretty crazy. Can’t wait to see that skull.
