Halloween Kills- Big J and Little J *Spoilers*

Can we get some love for Big John and Little John? Haven’t seen anyone posting about them. IMO, their scenes were pure gold!

I absolutely loved when Michael put their dead bodies on display, posed exactly as they were in their framed picture

On a side note, I watched the movie twice and can say that I liked it much more the second time around. I’ve actually felt that way with a lot of Tarantino movies in the past (not comparing the two). For example, I really did not like The Hateful Eight when I saw it theatres, but it’s now my go-to every winter. Something about watching Kills a second time did it for me, maybe it was just removing the expectations and knowing exactly what I was going to get.

On the topic of things I liked about the movie, I felt that some of the music fit superbly with the scenes. When Karen stabs Mikey with the pitchfork and that blaring onslaught of music hits, wow! That was great.

Overall, I really enjoyed this as a relentless horror film, and can’t wait for ENDS!

I did find it funny when “big John “ turned straight when “little John “ told him some one was in the house.

I thought they were fine, I didn’t mind them at all. They were aware of where they lived, which worked for them in certain moments, and worked against them in others. I had no problem at all with their comedic moments, because it felt natural. It was done much better than the forced comedy in 2018.

They actually reminded me a lot of a couple of guys that own a bed and breakfast haunted attraction near me. Totally hilarious guys. I thought they were fine

Michael McDonald is always very nuanced when portraying gay characters and it’s both funny and endearing simultaneously. Underrated actor and I was delighted to see him in this movie. He generally steals scenes in movies he’s in, and this was no exception. You root for him with his little cheese knife, and your heart breaks a little because you know he’s not going to make it out of there alive fighting for his loved one. The humor is a bit forced in my opinion, but I don’t blame the actors there. That was all on the page. Still better than the 2018 stuff which I find extremely cringey at times.
