Halloween: The Inside Story is easily one of the top H1 documentaries. A&E gave it the proper treatment as Phil Noble went above & beyond in its execution. Learning the domestic release of this documentary was a botched mess, I acquired a superior region 2 release from Europe earlier in the year. It will please newcomers & hardcore fans alike, containing a large amount of insight & interviews from the largest assembled cast/crew to date, as well as a good amount of behind-the-scenes photographs shot by the set photographer, Kim Gottlieb. We will all hopefully see a complete or near-complete collection of set photographs when Kim releases her planned book; stay on the lookout for upcoming news.
My intention is to share with the community what some members might not be able to conventionally access. If there is a substantial issue with this thread’s content, it will be removed.
Each image was captured in the DVD’s native 1024 × 576 resolution. Click or Shift+click/Command+click on a thumbnail to see the full resolution. I have rearranged them in a sequence which makes sense to me. Some images you may have already seen, some may be new; either way, enjoy!
This is available on dvd im sure,i love this Documentary ive watched it quite a lot it’s almost as addictive as the Movie itself, they used an H78 in that doc to resemble the Hero, anyone know who’s H78 that was they used ?
From what I understand, there is a bare-bones domestic release which contains a blank, generic case & a burned DVD-R. This can be purchased on the A&E online shop. The image quality has been reported to be poor/inferior.
I purchased the region 2 (PAL) version from Amazon.co.uk. This release is a complete product, with beautiful case artwork, cardboard outer sleeve & professionally finished disc. As you can see, the image quality is top-notch, as well.
Darren Hughes, Garrett Brown, Martin Myers, Nick Dressios, Maurice Guy, Sean Clark, Jon Lawrence, William Sanders & Travis Greene are the names given a “Special Thanks” in the credits. A few of these are established names here on the forum e.g. Sean Clark perhaps provided photos of the Kirk. I’d safely assume one of these gents contributed the mask. You could always play private message investigator & ask down the list, Anthony
I’m glad many of you enjoyed the screencaps; thanks for your “thanks”
I know there already is a decently-sized HI blu-ray screencap thread here (with watermarks), but perhaps I might create another one with more variety and some bonus stuff. When I get to it, right? Though I’m not a huge fan, I might even do an HII blu-ray gallery (if one doesn’t already exist?)… just for my favorite forum
Im lucky enough to be living in the UK so was able to pre-order this release at a rediculously low price when it was newly anounced late summer/Autumn 2011. It truely is an awesome collectors dvd and a complete mistake not releasing it world wide to add to every fans collection.
Lets hope the planned book isn’t far off completion…
