I figured this would be fun for the forum.
Ok, here are the rules: 1) Pick one of the 10 Halloween movies (yes, 3 is fair game), 2) Pick 11 songs for the soundtrack of your chosen Halloween. 1 of your 11 tracks must be a version of John Carpenter’s Halloween theme. Try to set up your soundtrack to follow specific events in your chosen Halloween and list what event goes with the song in your track list.
Example: Track 1: Yadda Yadda Yadda (artist’s name goes here) (Event in film goes here))
I’ve gotta go figure out my soundtrack.
Halloween 1 soundtrack
1.Halloween theme-john carpenter (credits)
2.Sister-she wants revenge (judiths death)
3.Escape-metallica (when michael escapes from smiths grove)
4.Mr sandman-oranger (haddonfield 1978)
5.Spooky-the grays (laurie drops the key off)
6.Sawdust in the blood-rob zombie (michael driving away from school)
7.Sneaking around-juliana hatfield (the hedge)
8.Babysitter-the ramones (annies death)
9.Boogeyman-motorhead (tommy sees michael carrying annie)
10.Run-disturbed (michael chases laurie)
11.In my grip-samhain (michael chokes laurie)
12.Renegade-styx (michael disappeares from the lawn)
13.Dont fear the reaper-blue oyster cult (end credits)
Any good??
Halloween 5
- Any horrible techno version of the main theme (Opening credits)
- Yakkety Sax (Michael’s white water rapids adventure)
- Changes (David Bowie) (First close-up of Michael’s mask)
- Everybody’s Talkin (Harry Nilsson) (Every scene with Michael daylight stalking)
- Bad (Michael Jackson) (Man in black exits bus)
- You Won’t See Me/ The Devil in her Heart (The Beatles) (Michael stalks and kills Rachel)
- Electric Avenue (Eddy Grant) (Michael chasing Jamie and Billy in car)
- Crying (Roy Orbison) (Take a guess)
- The Final Bell (Bill Conti) (Loomis goes the distance with Michael)
- I’m Free/ Won’t Get Fooled Again (The Who) (Michael escapes)
- Isn’t it a Pity (George Harrison) (End Credits)
Of course, this is a joke list, but I’d still like to see someone dub them.
No way would I change the score of Halloween with rock or rap or anything. I feel that totally ruins movies. One thing I loved about Halloween is that was no music other than the score (except for a few scenes with background music.
