Don’t know if this has been brought up or not. But, anybody else notice how similar if not pretty much the same that Halloween 3’s and Christine’s scores and sound effects are. I know JC done Christine 100% and wrote the script for H3. But its funny how I’ll be watching one or the other and hear a sound effect or a small score and feel like I’m watching the other movie. Not complaining or nothing at all I like it I just thought it was weird how damn similar they are.
It’s not surprising, seeing as both movies were scored around the same time. Both are, in my opinion, Carpenter’s best.
Yeah no shit 1983, I love both but, just was crazy how similar they were that’s all. Some of it was like a copy and paste which is a good thing.
Same composers (plural as in Carpenter and Alan Howarth), same synthesizers (Prophet 5 and 10), same time frame… They obviously did some sound effect recycling from H3 in Christine too, like you pointed out.
Ennio Morricone scored The Thing, but many people assume it was Carpenter. Carpenter gave him the instruction, that whatever he composed for the film, that it sound as if he, Carpenter, could have done it.
Yup
Ennio is a legend. Love his music. Stelvio Cipriani, and the band Goblin as well. Just brilliance.
