Quite understandable I guess, people wanna look like the most iconic shots right off the bat, none of us has John Carpenter and his crew adjusting the lighting, filtering etc unfortunately when we dress up, at cons the light is even way too bright and mask often looks kinda off even with painted on shadows in that circumstance…
You are dead on with that explanation. The mask we see in the scenes are brought out by shadows and lighting. The reality is a just a simply spray painted white paint mask. However, I do believe some weathering and dirty hands also played a role in “bringing out the facial features” of the mask.
Got mine around Thanksgiving, it’s insane, I love it! Crazy deal all around. Only $550 shipped and the invoice was sent when my copy was ready to ship and it was shipped immediately after I paid. Great communication, I was never ignored. Best Myers mask project I have seen in a long time, crazy cool mask and the price is not ridiculous and upfront and you don’t wait a year after you paid. That’s how it should be.

Maybe later, it’s great on the head it comes with, perfect form fitting head. But, I have seen costume shots and they are great. Here’s one Puckface shared.
