ALRIGHT IDK IF ITS JUST ME BUT I SEE ALOTA GOOD VIDEOS OF PEOPLE DONNING A MYERS MASK MAKING THERE OWN VIDEOS WHICH I THINK IS GREAT BUT THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY DO THE FAMOUS HEAD TILT WHICH IS COOL BUT ITS MAKES ME LAUGH CUZ THEY JUST DESTORYED THE WHOLE VIDEO IT WAS GREAT IN THE FILMS BUT COME ON NOW WAY OVER DONE SOME PEOPLE JUST CANT PULL IT OFF RIGHT SO I WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE ELSE HAS THOUGHT THE SAME THING BOUT THESE FAN FILMS ALL OVER THE NET HOPE IM NOT COMING OFF AS AN ASSHOLE BUT THATS HOW I FEEL IT MAKES A BETTER MICHAEL MYERS WITH OUT ALL THE HEAD TILTS EVERY SECOND JUST WANT TO HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS CUZ IVE NEVER SEEN THE TOPIC BROUGHT UP
i think the head tilts are all part of what myers is & what he represents to people. sure some people are not going to do it right, not everyones an actor, and let’s face it there are only certain people who can get the head tilt absolutely spot on & that’s the different actors who portrayed myers 
nothing wrong with people giving it a go, after all these fan films are meant to be just a bit of fun

The head tilt is an awesome part of Myers’ character.It shows a savage,instinctual part of what makes him tick.However,people abuse it.I have seen people do videos and they don’t take 3 steps without doing the head tilt.That takes away from the power of the image.In fact,the only time you see Michael do that in the original Halloween is when he hangs Bob on the wall.That was an on-the-spot thing that was created and it was ingenious.It gave you a candid view of what is going on in Michael’s brain.It put him on the same level as a dog or another creature of habit that just does what he does with no real reasoning.In H2,I believe the only time you see it is in the ending sequence when Jamie Lee(Laurie) tries to break through to Michael by shouting his name.
Really,the head tilt is cool but it is also abused a bit.When I put on a new mask,I personally like to take at least one shot with the head tilt because it does come across as very powerful.It is something that I believe all Halloween fans find to be a great part of the character.I just think that sometimes it is abused,especially in video form when someone attempts to portray Michael.

I’ve seen a video where a guy does it in a second, so it looked REALLY… weird.
Just like it was mentioned in the opening post,a lot of people can’t do it correctly either,which is also a big problem I have with it.It has to be fluid and not too fast,not too slow.It should look mechanical or robotic somewhat,but not like an automated Santa.

I agree totally on this… that head tilt was one of the creepiest things I have ever seen…and I did my best to duplicate it at the halloween party I was at… it seemed to work like a charm as the couple times I actually did it…I got a roar from the crowd around us… ( was in the center of a cirlce of people on the dance floor with some girl…she danced…I just did the Michael stare and head tilt…lol!)
However…I believe Michael does the head tilt one other time in the orig H2… After he kills nurse Janet with the styringe… he tilts his head once after she slumps dead to the ground… another awesome creepy moment that no amount of modern day gore can ever overcome…
It’s one of those things, before you found this site you probably didn’t put on coveralls, a mask and brandish a large butcher knife on a regular basis, taking pictures of yourself! 
So when you do start doing some of that, one of the most iconic movements Mike makes is the tilt and damn if I didn’t try it out 10 or 100 times. 
A long with answering the phone in a mask But that wears off once you go back and look at the movie and realize how off you were.
you took the words right out of my mouth Randy. count them, one single head tilt in the whole movie, yet when you you watch a 60 second clip of someone dressed like Myers your liable to see it 7 or 8 times.
so yeah i agree with you suffo, Michaels head tilt has a very small role in the films yet most all youtube vids looks like Michael is trying to work a crick out of his neck.
i dont think the head tilt is about being a good actor, its about evaluating the rational movement of someone with such a mental disorder.
thats exactly my argument. everytime, and i mean everytime you see a myers video, it has a head tilt atleast 5 times. i saw one video, it was like scream interviewing michael and EVERY time the camera was on mike his head tilted. i was literally screaming. but this is a serious matter. what are we ganna do about it?

Love the head tilt. Shows the primal nature of Myers. Like an animal watching his prey. First time I saw the scene with Bob I was hooked. And while in costume I can’t help but do it.
There’s a lot of things that a lot people get wrong when imitating Myers, and not just the general public. The head tilt isn’t even near the top of the list. It’s one of the easiest things to do. It’s not like there’s a science to tilting your head.
You know this would make a great contest which member has the best head tilt shot via video. Just a idea.
