I am looking for the most screen accurate Michael Myers Halloween 1978 mask available. Through my research I have narrowed it down to two mask. Both mask are by NAG. The 75K Castle Edition or the 98 Proto? I have seen copy’s of both versions that remind me spot on of the 1978 Myers. Can anyone please help me with my decision on which is the one is the Closest to the 1978 film? Please everyone give me your honest opinion on which of these two is the 78 Myers for you and why. Also if anyone has one of these mask or both please comment and tell me your opinion. I honestly can’t decide and need your help. Thank you so much.
You cant go wrong with either, you are correct that theyre both 2 of the best, most accurate H1 masks available. But between those 2, I think the 98 proto.
I have both and I love them equally . But if I had to choose one, I would pick the Proto 98. Closest to the hero you could get, imo.

Both are awesome. 98 Proto is closer to the actuall mask, while its easier to look good worned with the 75k Castle 
It’s all a matter of opinion. So study pictures and make your own. Another thing you need to seriously consider is the finishing work. The way a mask is finished makes all the difference in the world. I’ve seen shitty masks look way better than high end masks just because of the finishing work.

This is the correct answer whenever someone can’t decide between 2 masks. The purchaser has to make the final choice in the end. It’s all in the eye of the beholder, right?
Thanks fellas for all your insight and input. I think I am going to go with the 98 Proto. After seeing the pictures you guys posted it made it real easy. Closest thing to 78 Myers look period in my opinion. For the Finishes I think I am going to go with light weathering overall. I might just send a photo of one of JC’s Proto H1s and ask him to make it look as close as possible to the picture. I will still probably buy a 75K castle edition later on anyway!! Yes, Nik still makes the 98 Proto brother. I just ordered one from him. I’d snag one while they are still in production.
